Thanks to Classmates.com, a friend I've been trying to track down since 1997 emailed me today. Apparently, he'd been looking for me and found my profile on their site. 
I'm so excited. He lives a couple of hours away, near my parents, so I hope to meet up for dinner and drinks some night. He was one of my best friends at NMU, and we spent many days hiking, watching movies, sledding, and drinking.
Silvercord sent me a link to an awesome electric piano with hammer-weight action and a sustain pedal (meaning, it feels and sounds like a real piano). Maybe he'll buy it for me for Christmas!

Finally, yes, I think your hypothesis about the opiate content in fast food is justified. I think it warrants further scientific investigation...
That keyboard is beautiful. Yamahas have the nicest sound. After I graduated college I bought myself a Yamaha U1. I miss it so much. I couldn't afford to take it from California to New York, and now that I'm here I have nowhere to put one. Let me know how it works out if you end up getting it.
