It's too hot to sleep. I'm tired of this. Is it Autumn yet?

My boy introduced me to Mindless Self Indulgence over the weekend and then burned me copies when I started shrieking and dancing. Oh my GOD. These guys fucking ROCK. They're a lot like the band I used to sing with... just crazy and wild and carrying up the high notes.
I get so *energized* listening to them.

MSI does a great cover of Method Man's "Bring The Pain." It's the first song I heard from them, and it made me an instant fan.
osoesoteric:
Awww.. that testimonial is the least i could do.. hell my best friends don't even care enough on my birthday to say much let alone make me a cake.. your the sweetest.
Camping through the weekend... must do laundry and pack.

It's funny... for the first time in a very long time, I really don't have anything to say.

osoesoteric:
hmmm.. well then i will say something.. ummm.. crap i can't think of anything.. nevermind.. i gunna stop now..
talk to you soon.. i you can think of something to say

vim:
damn yo....i got the boot?!?!?!

Everyone should go check out my boy's band - Silvercord, especially if you like ambient/ethereal music. You can download their albums from mp3.com (there's a link on the Silvercord page).

I am so completely head over heels for this boy. Nobody has EVER treated me this well or this perfectly. It just keeps getting better and better and better...

If the whining on the "drama queens" thread is butter, your posts are a hot knife. Nice.
Anne Sexton is great. I once wrote a paper entirely on Love Poems: "Ballad of the Lonely Masturbator" was my focal point. I know it sounds stupid, but I've kind of got a crush on her. Total milf.

It's still too fucking hot, but it's storming.
Finally!!!

i was not expecting Gomez to be a cat.
Today went a lot better than expected. We didn't go berry picking since the berries weren't ripe yet -- Michigan has had frost advisories into June -- so we spent some time by the harbor. God, I miss living on a Great Lake. I could have sat there all day.

I've only now noticed you happened to mention two of my three favorite actresses in this post, now about a month old. Which, I suppose, makes this one of those flighty, annoying, un-replyable comments having nothing to do with the above journal entry. So sorry.
lilith:
I LOVE YOUR PROFILE PIC.....It's awesome. Thanks for your comment on my set......
It is way too smegging early to be up, especially on a Saturday. Berry picking and graduation parties await, though.
Merry Solstice to everyone. It's the longest day of the year, and I'll be out in the heat and sun. Do they make SPF Irish?
Go wish Olivia a happy birthday.

Thanks for the tip, definitely wanted to give a birthday wish there. I forgot to say something when I saw it the first time, that is the most kickass profile pic, seriously!!!
And yes, Duran motherfucking Duran. I can't really get into them anymore (long story), but that was one of my favorite songs going way the fuck back to 1981. I first heard DD on WRIF in Detroit on a late night show called Album Sides - the DJ would just spin one side of an album, and one night they played side 1 of DD (the original, way the hell before Is There Something I Should Know? was added). There is an insanely cool cover of the song by Neurotic Outsiders that they dropped as a b-side, it opens my mix CD that will go in on the SG CD swap. You familiar with NO?

I too was out in the sun today. Damn family, making me do things I'd never do otherwise! I lost some of my pasty whiteness, and I kind of miss it. Oh well, at least I was wearing pants so my legs are still bright enough to use as a signalling device in case I'm ever lost in the woods....
Tomorrow, I'm going to my hometown (Alpena) for a graduation party. It's for one of my eight squillion cousins, and I've never met her, so I have permission to drive around and take pictures after I socialize for a bit.
Then, we're getting more strawberries and making more jam.
I'm leaving on Sunday. I can't WAIT to get out of here. I'm making a couple...

ahh family how good it is to see some of them only once a year.
I woke up from my allergy medicine-induced coma, picked strawberries with my dad, and then made ten jars of strawberry jam with my mum. I'm a domestic goddess.
Now I'm listening to The Church and thinking about sex and how I haven't masturbated for four days. I'm a self-control goddess.
I'm reading an excellent book - The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. It's amazing. I'm...

How is your mom? I have added her to your protection spell. I do indeed know what it's like to listen to your mother cry. There is no worse feeling in the entire goddamn universe. I'm holding both of you in my thoughts and prayers.

That was the greatest story that's ever been told. I'm riveted.
Oh, and are you sure he's still a boy at 32? Wouldn't that kinda qualify him as a geriatric?
