I'm still reading about graduate schools out east. I'll focus on the west next week.

My conclusion is that there's NO WAY I'll be able to afford out-of-state tuition, so I'll just have to move to the state, set up residency for a year, and then start school. This is fine with me since I'll need the break.

I'm also looking forward to setting the...

So your planning on leaving Michigan as well. Damn, this state is losing people like nobody's business. Hope wherever you end up that you come to love it.

shocked So does that mean we started publicly funded schools here?

Wait... no... I guess I do have something.

After my hair dried today, I realized it's now halfway down my back. Yay. biggrin

I need to do something with it, though. I think I'm going to have the haircutterist put some darkish purple into it... just a few strands. I'm just not sure how that'll look with the texture. My hair is naturally curly/wavy, and that...

I have discovered three wonderful things: Infusium conditioner, St. Ives exfoliating body wash, and Crest Whitening Expressions in Extreme Mint. love I now have silky soft hair and minty breath.

To counteract the girliness of that paragraph, I must inform everyone that I not only watched the Super Bowl, but also yelled at the TV and explained why the Patriots went for a two-point conversion when...

criticaloversite:
People in college tend to think "more words = more knowledge". Maybe...sometimes, but I'm thinking thats only true half the time. I've edited and helped with alot of papers and found that wordy papers tend to be diluted, and sometimes even miss the point of the subject entirely due to tangents. The short (and well-written) papers are where it's at. It shows the writer has enough knowledge of the subject as well as a great grasp of the language used to make the points and ideas as clear and concise as possible.

Take that last sentence I just typed, for example. There's extra wording in it that doesn't need to be there, and the sentence might be able to be better arranged to the effect of being shorter.

This is very interesting...

A non-SG friend suggested he and I set all of our mp3s on random and then enter the first 30 into email without cheating. He said it would give a pretty good idea of our eclectic tastes.

Here is mine:

1) Midnight Oil - Dreamworld
2) My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult - Sex on Wheelz
3) Frank Sinatra -...

I'm considering going to grad school in New England. New York City was an option for a while, but living there is bloody expensive.

Schools in CT, MA, and RI have my program, according to the Peterson's Graduate School Search Engine.

Thoughts? Criticism? Suggestions?

I lived in CT for most of my life, the other parts (besides kalamazoo,) i lived in Boston, MA and Brooklyn NY. Depending on where you live in CT it can be almost as expensive as NYC, however you will get a much nicer/roomier place for the money. RI and CT have beautiful beaches and water views though :-)

there's some chance i might come back for the summer, but it will all depend on the boy's work. When i do come back, WE WILL MEET! I love the michigan kids so much and would love to see them again!

Last night I had a dream involving my two most recent exes, a block of cheese, a haunted house that a relative had passed down to me, crawling along W. Main with a bunch of other people, a vasectomy story, and my parents circa 1968.

7:30....AM? That's insane! Not even God is awake at that godawful early hour (why do you think they call it "Godawful early"?)

If I go in the morning it will probably be the 9:30 at St. Thomas.
delirium_faerie:
i keep having these really complex dreams, but not really remembering the details.

Okay, I know they have until 31 January to mail these things, but I WANT MY W2!!!

Grrr...

I fell asleep on top of my anthropology book today but didn't learn anything via osmosis. Rats.

I'm going to eat dinner and head over to Playtime Billiards with MrNiceGuy, aristocles, Cait, and various non-SG friends of ours. It should be a good time. biggrin

Crying sucks, so I distracted myself (my foolproof trick for stopping the waterworks).

I took a shower, got dressed, and drove waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay across town to the FedEx office. They had a package for me (meds - yay!) I hit every red light on the way there. The odds of that happening were pretty slim, as there are about thirty on the way there, so I...

I can't stop crying.

I've tried every trick. This is so NOT me.

I hate this. I want it to stop so I can get some sleep.

I fell asleep just fine. I was thinking about legionnaire, my anthropology homework, and other random things, and I just passed out.

I woke up, got a drink, and tried to go back to sleep, and that's...

My roommate and I canceled the Up & Under outing. We both have WAY too much homework to do. This semester has been unbelievable, and it's not even February yet. eeek

I'd like to do something fun this weekend - movie, pool, bowling, whatever. I don't really want to leave town because of the roads and homework, but I need to get out of the apartment...
