Actually, the Jesus & Easter Bunny thing is easily explained. By the time the King James Bible came around, Aramaic was a long dead language. Some of Jesus' testimony from the cross was mistranslated. Given the massive blood loss and resultant disorientation, He actually said "When I come back, I better not see any eggs!". That tradition was kept alive.
I have to do a bunch of work for my paper tonight, and I plan to rent most of "Queer As Folk : Season Three" after I finish cooking dinner.
