Cool air crept in last night and the left over humidity created a dense, moving fog early this morning. Walking through it, was almost like walking through a puffy cloud in the sky. The moisture collected on the leavs of the trees and dripped to the ground like a minature rain under each tree. As I walked beneath the giant ash tree on the way...

Hey there! I loved your e-mail. Now we have a history, it feels like. I will shoot you a similar one later.
Have a safe trip to Omaha. My birth dad lives there, I am told, but when I contacted him, he said he wasn't the one, even though he is. whatever
Wooo! Freezing drop down the back. That'll wake you right up.
Thise CPR torsos smell funny. I would've loved one of those back in fourth grade, when all I had to practice kissing on was my pillow.

I'm a little annoyed today. Actually, I had 2 things that me annoyed, one to a lesser degree and the other to a much greater degree.

I promise that this is the last time I will mention the thunderstorms that we've been having this week....but I just have too mention it one more time, because it's integral to my little journal story.

The thunderstorms rolled...

I wanted to thank you again.

I get really upset when I can't get on line. It is a kind of a lifeline, for me, in a way.

Glad you are back on.
So, you said you would shoot me an e-mail about yourself. Let's hear it! kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss

Not to be too repetitive, but I'm bracing for another round of severe thunderstorms today. The sky turned green and then black yesterday, as the storm approached. You could see it coming and it was moving toward me fast! The sound of the thunder made the house shake and it got so darrk and black outside, that the security lights came on. 60 mph winds...

I love Hill Street Blues. It's not on reruns anymore, here, though.
Lucky you, more storms!
They do purposely make you walk to the back for staples at the grocery store. I know this for certain. Try to stay out of the middle isles, where all of the unnessasary stuff lies, like scented candles, lotions, perfumes, air fesheners, yadda yadda.
Thank you for your e-mail. You saved my day. kiss kiss

Have you ever talked to someone who says they can predict the weather, because they have an ache in a bone or joint? I always thought that was a bunch of hooey....until recently. I broke my ankle pretty severly last year. It finally healed up pretty well, but I had a rough time with it. It will never be as strong as it was before...I...

Thunderstorms....big time thunderstorms with brillant flashes, deafing thunder, wind and rain.....nature's lullabye....it woke me about 2:30 am, just long enough to decide I didn't care if it rained in the windows and to pull the covers tighter around my neck and go back to sleep.

It's wet here today, so muddy boots will be the footwear of choice....or by necessity rather than choice.

I was...

August is back with a vengence! Heat, humidity and thunderstorms are forecast for this week. We've had nice late May, early June weather for the last several days. It was really nice to be outside. Ah well, we knew it couldn't last.....

I have to take some time this morning to write checks and pay some bills. I hate sending my money away, but it's...

Hi Sabre! You are so damn lucky to have thunderstorms where you are. I miss them so much. I remember how the sky would turn electric green and the hair on my arms would raise. When everyone else was hiding inside, I would stand in the street and wait for it to start. I LOVE that feeling. It was exciting. If we get one clap of thunder here, people go nuts, They don't know what they are missing.

Your dinner sounds so yummy! I wish I had had that for dinner instead of drive-through McDonald's. And your description of your porch/picnic scene sounds wonderful and comfy.

Have a great evening. smile
naudia:
sounds like the midwest! i lived in minneapolis for a while and loved it. the humidity paired with storms is so amazing, you sit on the porch and watch well into the night.

thanks for the comment on the set blush

As I get older, time seems to go by faster. From talking with people, I don't think I'm the only one who feels this way. Youth has a way of denying that time is of consequence, but hitting 40 has a way giving you a wake up call.

So much to do and so little time left to do it all. So the question becomes,...

That is really wierd. We must be on the same flightpath or something. or maybe in the same class in the school of our lives.
To the word, I was pondering the same stuff today. (About accomplishments and living life).
I seem to pendulum back and fourth.
Do I work myself ragged now to save for my future down the road in Hawaii, or do I kick back and be poor and enjoy everything simple?

Glad you slept well last night.

Today is a pretty wide open and free day for me. I can do whatever my little heart desires!

My best friend and his wife raise horses and they've invited me to come down for a trail ride this afternoon. It takes about 5 hours and ends up this eveing with a cookout. I used to have a couple of horses...but that was a long...

I'm usually a pretty "even keel" guy....I never let to much bother or worry me. I had a phone call last night that ruined my day and put in me a foul mood for most of the evening, which is completely unlike me. I was ticked off, because someone else was trying to drag me into their sniping and bickering.... a situation that I was...

People like that are like energy vampires. You have to not let them drag you in. I had a chat finally with some girls at work the other day because they were unhappy and venting constantly and starting drama. I told them that they were making me feel ill and that I would no longer tolerate it. They looked like I'd slapped them, but they haven't done it since, and even they seem happier.

Good luck, honey smile

Wednesday....hump day....the day the end of the week is in sight and plans for the weekend begin!

A few of my family and friends were here for a BBQ last night. It was a great evening. I had forgotten that someone had borrowed my volleyball net last year and never brought it back. So, we set up the raggedy old badminton net to use instead....

My sleep was fitful last night and I'm probably going to be dragging my butt today. No idea why I slept so badly, but I know i'll be feeling it before the end of the day. I usually get 5-6 hours each night, but I was awake, tossing and turning enough last night that I probably only got about 3 hours total. Must be something...
