Not to be too repetitive, but I'm bracing for another round of severe thunderstorms today. The sky turned green and then black yesterday, as the storm approached. You could see it coming and it was moving toward me fast! The sound of the thunder made the house shake and it got so darrk and black outside, that the security lights came on. 60 mph winds whipped the trees and the rain came down sideways.
I need to grocery shop sometime today....the cupboard is getting bare. I always try to notice the marketing techniques the grocery stores use. Have you ever noticed that most of the items that you frequently run out of and might need to make a quick run to the store for, are all at the very back of the store? They put them there to get you to slow down as you go through the store and maybe see something else, that you'll buy on impulse. You have to pass by most of the store just to get a quart of milk. I think they purposely put the sugared cereal on the lower shelves, so that kids can get the boxes in their hands and beg their parents for it.....I've seen it time after time.
Luckily, their shenanigans usually don't work on me. I have my list and I stick to it.....although I admit the candy and chocolate aisle is a tough one....sometimes I have to avoid that aisle all together!
It's all marketing kids....don't let them suck you in. Be tough and resolute.....oh yeah and never grocery shop when you haven't eaten all day....unless you want your cart full to overflowing!

They do purposely make you walk to the back for staples at the grocery store. I know this for certain. Try to stay out of the middle isles, where all of the unnessasary stuff lies, like scented candles, lotions, perfumes, air fesheners, yadda yadda.
