Today has been exceptionally unremarkable.....sometimes it happens, despite my best efforts.

So with that in mind, I will wish everyone a great weekend!

Windy....that's the best description I can give of yesterday. Well, maybe blustery would be a good descriptive word too.

Yesterday morning, I was dragging a garden hose across the lawn, to water the tree that I planted last week. I had 4 50 ft. sections of hose hooked together to reach the tree and was dragging part of it, but had most of it hooked...

Luckily I still have my jobs, so I am not totally freaking out. I will just be staying with different friends for awhile, maybe at least a month, so I can find peaceful home. I might even be able to save enough to fly to San Antonio to visit my birthmom, who is really ill. I want to see her and tell her I took back the name that she gave me. The rest of my familty is there, too, and I need to reconnect.
Thank you for your encouraging words. You always have the perfect things to say.
I loved the image of you and the hose! tongue tongue tongue That totally made me laugh.
How small is your town? It sounds really quaint and sweet. smile
I think that the forecasters just flip a coin or something to make up the weather. In Texas, we could always depend on the weather being theopposite of what they forecasted. miao!!

I used an old trick last night, one that I hadn't thought about in years. I was tired, but having trouble falling asleep. This happens to me occasionally.....even back when I was little. It suddenly came to me that Dad had a trick that always worked without fail when I was little. We would get dressed and go outside for a night walk. Usually only...

Technology is great, but it can really suck and be frustrating when it's not working! eeek My internet connection has been down for a few days. I use a microwave link, through a radio transmitter and an antennae, to another antennae and the ISP in town about 5 miles away. My radio transmitter decided to crap out on me late last Wednesday. It took a little...

It's Hump Day!

You can officially start dreaming about and making plans for the weekend today. smile

I planted another tree here at home yesterday afternoon. There is something very satisfying about planting something that will probably be there and give enjoyment to people who haven't even been born yet. I distinctly remember planting trees with my Dad and hearing him say, "I'll never get much...

I was somewhat busy over the weekend....a few things out of the ordinary came up, but nothing that was too troubling or took much to remedy. I was able to take time to make a few entires to other members journals, but didn't have enough time at one sitting to update my own journal. It usually takes me a few minutes for me to write...

ya Ant use to be grateful for anything I put in his face , now when I ask how is it? he tells me the truth, SPOILED I tell ya, but it can't be all that bad he ate the full plate and kept dipping in the pot for more in-between complaints, I didn't really care, I was full from my night out and I didn't really slave. and alfredo is not my favorite. and most of the time I can admit when something didn't come out to my liking, tonight will be another test for my sauce, I got tomatoes that I never used before, so anything could happen.
sophie:
hello there!

thanks for the positive feedback in my journal. yes, i am moving to lawrence, so i am not really nervous. i visited recently and found it MUCH to my liking. reading your journal and your profile, i must say you sound quite... sensuous! or sensual!

that's so not a come on. i have a boyfriend, and i'm not looking, but i just have to say that you're all about touch, taste, smell... you know. the five. maybe that's stating the obvious, but yeah.

hope your evening goes well.

A cold rain swept in during the early morning hours....the wind came up and I could hear the rain tapping on the north windows, as the wind brought not only rain with it, but colder air too.....I remember turning over and pulling the sheet and blanket tighter up under my chin as I snuggled my head back down in the pillow....grateful that I had a...

OK, I know I promised something really interesting here today, but at this moment I'm drawing a total blank as to what to write. I think I'm still lagging a bit from the hectic day yesterday.

So, with that in mind, I'm off to do some other things and hope that I can think of something suitable to write or that some events of today...

To be honest, I haven't thought about what to write in my journal today at all.....and right now, I'm just to pooped to think about it.

So, I think I'll just write this little note, to anyone who might venture here to read something and say that I will be back to write something really good tomorrow! Please stop by then..... smile

Right now I'm going...

Leaving in just a few minutes to take my Mother for her 6 month check up with Dr.'s in Des Moines, so I don't have time for a journal update right now......I'll have a new entry here later today!

A light breeze is all it takes....they circle endlessly, never flapping...riding the currents and covering more than a square mile. They look and they watch.....just waiting for fortune to make a turn for the worse....they have patience, they have all day today....and they have tomorrow....and so they wait....they watch....and they circle....tirelessly, effortlessly, patiently......they circle, they circle.

The turkey buzzards are every where here these days....

rosemarie:
Ahhh, your journal entries are like little mini-vacations for me. Always completely beautiful and comforting.
It's so nice to read them after a hard long day at work. It seems all I do these days is work and eat and dream. I wish that I had more time to keep up to date with my friends here on the site, but it is hard when I work six days a week. Something always gets neglected, this time in my life it is my internet time and exercise.
Sending you love and good wishes,
RoseMarie

I'm back.....500 miles round trip....but, it was a nice wedding and my voice sounded pretty good, even though I haven't sang like that for sooooooooo long....I got quite a few compliments, which is always nice. I was glad that I could do it for my nephew and his young lady bride.

On the downside, I didn't sleep worth a darn for the 2 nights in...

Aw, Sabre. You are so great. I really sincerely appreciate what you said in that thread. You are so kind and warm and genuine. It just figures that you would sing a song for your nephews wedding. What song did you sing?

'Nothing like sleeping in your own bed.
I hope that you sleep really well tonight, and dream about beautiful women, moonlight, and silhouettes of trees.
