Windy....that's the best description I can give of yesterday. Well, maybe blustery would be a good descriptive word too.
Yesterday morning, I was dragging a garden hose across the lawn, to water the tree that I planted last week. I had 4 50 ft. sections of hose hooked together to reach the tree and was dragging part of it, but had most of it hooked over my arm. Going down a little hill with the wind at my back, a huge gust of wind came along and took me right off my feet and sent me tumbling and rolling down the hill.....arms and legs flailing and garden hose wrapping around me. When I finally came to a stop, all I could do was lay there and laugh out loud at myself. I was on the ground and completely wrapped up in 100 ft of garden hose!
A trip into town yesterday, reminded me again of how great it is to live in a small rural community. 3 people asked how my Mom is doing (Mom's health is not very good right now) and another 4 stopped just to take a couple of minutes to say, "HI, how the heck are ya?".....and this was all just in the course of making a quick trip to the hardware store. Going to town always turns into a mini social event around here.
Looks like rain is being forecast again...although the weather people have not had a very good record of accuracy on their forecasts as of late. We are dry and could really use a good rain to settle the dust and help things along this fall. Maybe I need to do a late night "rain dance" sometime soon....
Hope your Thursday is going well and that Friday is looking like a winner!

Thank you for your encouraging words. You always have the perfect things to say.
I loved the image of you and the hose!
How small is your town? It sounds really quaint and sweet.
I think that the forecasters just flip a coin or something to make up the weather. In Texas, we could always depend on the weather being theopposite of what they forecasted.
