Ugh, history paper. "The Second Scientific Revolution: Technology Progressing Socially-Scientific Thought"

I'll post more later. I just thought was time for a change.

Listen to: RZA's "Grits"
and: Sublime's "Bad Fish"

Stumbled in here from... uh... my journal. Thanks for the post! biggrin

So, I helped my roommate, Chi, make this banner for the IEEE at UCLA's 40th anniversary, and apparently the president of the thingy-whatever has extended an invitation to go to the anniversary banquet with Chi as well, so I get to dress up or something and go have lunch at a fancy hotel thingy. I like how that works out. Besides, I can use my...

Today was good. It was a day where I took things at my pace.

I went out in the afternoon to Sunset Rec Center and laid out in the sun. My torso is no longer as white as it was before. I was listening to The Chemical Brothers and contemplating things. It was good to just lay back and meditate for a while.

The thread...

So, I've been recruited for "thread-hijacking" on The Vortex. This basically means that we find a thread that has potential for off topicness (whether it be through a vague post, someone asking a question that is analogous to opening the can o' worms.

we're doing this right now... it's super fun to use my limited photoshop skills for good and for awesome. It's cool...

I hate it when people have a cell phone, but resent it. I have one friend that I don't bother leaving voicemails for because he never checks them, and I have another friend who never returns cell phone calls, and leaves it on his desk with the ringer set to silent ring. Why the fuck do these people get a cell phone? I would have left her a more obnoxious message after she jumped down her throat, if I were you. Blow a soccer horn on her voicemail, or some shit like that. Or fart loudly. Or start leaving her orders, because hey, she's got a cell phone. She should be at my beck and call.

And then she's gonna take a big tasty bite out of your ass for trying to contact her on AIM? My friend, if you have any lurking temptations to date this woman or pursue the relationship anywhere past the "arms length" category, do yourself a favor: don't.

Talk about high maintenance. Good Lord.

Dude! You're going to APOLOGIZE?!!?!?! What the fuck for? Don't call her. Don't AIM her. Let her see if she's going to put the energy into contacting you. If not, ditch the friendship.

Duuude, my Thursday was interesting, Lakers vs. San Antonio was a freaking awesome ending!

And I can do cel-shading now, I've figured. (check out my new GTi pics)

So, helicopters have been going overhead pretty frequently. Not police helicopters or anything like that, I think they're LifeFlight choppers, so it's a good thing that they're going out. But still, it's really weird that it's been happening so much (twice a day?) and they usually never come over North Village (my part of Westwood)

/boggle.

My mom is doing well, she just came home...

Wow, a wonderful midterm? That's pretty... bizarre.

Well, I'm glad it isn't anything too serious then. Serious things shouldn't happen to moms, ever, and especially not really cool moms, like yours, and mine, and Carly's too.

Yeah, so he catches up with me in the stairwell as we both happen to be going up to the math department to turn things in at the same time. I swear he caught up with me on purpose, and he says something like "It's so terrible that I even have to see you" and I said it wasn't my fault, and then he said something about how there couldn't be a benevolent god, because then people as awful as me wouldn't exist, or something along those lines. I am impressed by the violence of his hatred, even after this long. You'd think it would have subsided a little, but apparently not. So yeah, you guessed right. It doesn't even bother me though, anymore, I just forget in a few minutes and move on. It's not important.
chriskaasi:
I hope everything's o.k. -- please keep us posted.

My roommate and his girlfriend are playing and making out downstairs. He's like "I'd say something to make you feel more comfortable, but, uhhh..."

It's all good though, they weren't having full on sex or anything close to being obscene or anything. (We don't have curtains anyway, so that'd be blatantly obvious). It's really weird. The only thing I get angry at my roommates over...

Alright, three replies from Venice in a row signifys the time for a new journal entry... I think.

Wednesday was a long ass day. Brutally long. It's totally ironic, I give Maddy some advice about how to stop these really crazy weird dreams, and then I, myself, get no sleep whatsoever last night. Probably like 5 hours, tops. I was doing my Electrical Engineering homework...

Where to start. Oh yeah, Saturday:

So, I get up, and think to myself "Self, you need some food" So I finally (for the first time this quarter) go to Ralph's to buy food and stuff for living.

It felt really good to know that I'm spending $60 on many many meals and snacks. And that it actually would last me a while. And! I...
