Where to start. Oh yeah, Saturday:
So, I get up, and think to myself "Self, you need some food" So I finally (for the first time this quarter) go to Ralph's to buy food and stuff for living.
It felt really good to know that I'm spending $60 on many many meals and snacks. And that it actually would last me a while. And! I also saw one of my good friends there that I never saw for a while because I had never gone to Ralph's and we always see them there, it's really weird, but yeah, it's like clockwork. We see each other there every time. Hugs and such, and then they gave us a ride back to my apartment, because we were overzealous and bought more stuff than we could even think of carrying by hand.
So, that was awesome, just great, food yay! And I cooked. Shrimp Pasta Salad, with pineapple, celery, waterchestnuts and whatnot, good stuff.
So, Elliot says "Hey, wanna go to a ska concert tonight?" I'm like, OK, why not, nothing else to do." So we bus it down to Sunset and see a really good concert. We got to see The Debonairs and The Israelites, but we left three songs into The Aggrolites' set because we had to catch the bus. So we meet these two girls that are also from UCLA, and we talk, and then one of the girls knows my friend, and we're all having a great time, and then!!

"Hey anyone wanna buy a Rolex?
I'm black, so you know I didn't buy this.
I'm just trying to be honest--but not too honest, y'know, just ask the mu-fukka that I stole the watch from!
I dropped fishing line through the air conditioning into his room and snatched that mu-fukka's watch.
It's like I'm the American Black Ninja or something"
Yeah, that was interesting, but nothing compared to the self proclaimed messiah.
"Yeah, Mel Gibson got it almost right, he showed Jesus as a black man. That's what he looked like then, this is what I look like now"
He said that he got everything that was on him in the last two weeks and everything fit perfectly. Then he goes trash-can diving for a half-drunk bottle of (spiked) coke, and was telling us how he has found fresh sushi and whole bunches of stuff in trash cans. He also apparently had demo CD's of his dance music, and we regretted not buying some of Jesus' techno-music, because hey, it's Jesus.
So, we don't find a bus, but one of the girls calls a friend and he picks us up. Apparently he works at a Japanese-motorsport shop. They're building 1000+ hp Toyota Supras, and apparently the fastest all-motor Honda Civic in the world. He picked us up in a 650HP Toyota 4-Runner, man, it had so much power, it was ridiculous.
I get home, and read SG.com, cause I'm hooked like that.
Everyone should go read steve's journal. It's some really awesome prose.

So, Sunday, I get a call at 12:30pm from Keyes, saying "Hey, wanna go to Coachella? I have tickets" "OK, what's the catch" "You have to find a ride"
Damnit, Jon, seriously, how am I gonna find a ride to Coachella?
So, I call, IM and beg my way, then finally one of my friends comes online and I ask him, he's like "ok," mashes over here and picks us up, and we mob over to Coachella, get there, park like rockstars, and go listen to some music.
We had VIP tickets, so we got into the VIP lounge, which was alright, better than the regular chillout areas, by far.
Apparently EvilKelly was standing right next to me when the Cure was playing. I thought she was still in Illinois. Apparently not!
So here I am
Today was awesome, it was long and hot (101) but good. History was fun, Japanese went relatively well, and EE was very insightive, I love that class more and more every day.
Then I go to tutoring, and I have some of the best kids (not really kids, but they're two years younger than me, so they're relatively kids) to teach in the whole wide world. This girl is so happy to be at school, and she's an active learner, and she's like "I'm so sorry for taking your time up", but you know what? I actually like tutoring. It makes me feel good to be helping people "get" physics, I know I'll be tutoring some people this summer
.
Man, it's already 7pm. Time to get something done. EE hwk? I guess so.
Edit: So, I'm doing laundry, which means I'm down to my "True Blue" UCLA shirt and a pair of UnderArmor sport shorts.
I was like.. man it's too hot to turn on the stove to cook Italian Sausage and pasta, so I take one of my Ravioli cans (courtesy of Chef Boyardee) and nuke that. It turns out that it's Italian sausage too, and it's freaking delicious, like.. damn good. This is probably the best meal I've had for $1.25 ever. I figure with sales tax, and the cost for a glass of iced tea.
You gotta try it.
Edit2: Damnit, if I'm going to put up a freaking journal entry, I should let you guys know what I recommend to listen to:
Listen to: Thievery Corporation's "Lebanese Blonde"
and: Jurassic 5's Quality Control, yes, the whole album, it's that good.
