I liked Another Roadside Attraction a little better, but I enjoyed both a lot. I was fascinated by them when I was 19-20. Still Life with Woodpecker was OK but unmemorable, and IMO the beginning of Robbins's slow downhill slide.
His style fits in with Matt Ruff (Sewer Gas Electric) and Robert Anton Wilson (Schroedinger's Cat especially) pretty well. Maybe I just like literate raving lunatics.

yeah, i like to have a plan, and that plan be at least fun for ME - that sounds bad, right? Well, after a few hundred bad dates, I can firmly say, if I'm not having a good time, then it's a waste of my time. Since the majority of the dates end up sucking, at least I wanna enjoy my time/money/opportunity to see or do something. I know that rockerchick is gonna be a good date, but I speak in general theoretics here.
Oh, and no matter how bad Natalie Portman's dialogue is, whiney boys was always worse. Actually, he's just such a BAD actor. Even the timing of his line delievery seemed likea high school play. but bring on the action, baby!! woo!
ps - they should have had Padme in some more of those tight fitting uniforms!
