i remember seeing some collage books made by surrealists in the early 20th century that were pretty fucking awesome. it was mostly late 1800's images used, but also some photos from magazines. i wish i could remember who made them. but they're definitely still available for purchase- i know i saw them when i was at the Guggenheim in Venice and deliberated for a long while on whether or not i should get them. i'll look it up and get back to you.
as for the c.d.s, i think i'd be safe in saying i'm not a huge fan of electronic music, progressive math-rock spacey stuff, or aimless jazz/instrumentals. i think if you can ask yourself, "would someone not under the influence of mind-altering substances appreciate this music as much as someone who was?" if the answer is "no", i probably won't like it.

Thanks for the heads up, I plan to get it as soon as it comes out. I love the other two books and use them all the time to make tasty vegan food. How it all Vegan and Garden of Vegan were both written by Sarah and Tanya, so I am intrigued to see how she does on her own. I bet that I add another book to my "essentials list".

Just wanted to say hi. My week-end starts today and nothing really planned, though my parents were SUPPOSED to be here when i got home tonight. DAMN kids...where are they? Did you go to the DC party? since i still haven't been deemed cool enough for that group, I didn't even know more than you told me about it.
I guess i am doomed to languish in SG obscurity for life---eh? Thuogh I am trying to hook up with a few people from "the community" at warped tour Tuesday. who knows..right?
My movie experience for last weekend didn't turn out quite as agressive as i thought it would. As you know i saw 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory', I also managed to fit in 'The Devils Rejects'. A rather ...ummm..interesting movie. I have heard it compared to 'Natural Born Killers' , and yes I did see some simarlarities. Over all i liked it though, not loved...but liked.
