because of my love of horreur, hilariously people think that it's all I watch ( just like because of my love of metal/hard rock that it's all I listen to )...
these people are idiots *smirks*
ANYways, horreur series/franchises have had a place in my horreur-faithful heart, so gotta give a shout-out to/for them once in awhile :)
in this case, I began pondering what I consider the "best of" particular horreur series/franchise...
Oh, yeah...
Any horreur series/franchise I missed or deserves mention ? Let me know ! ...but it has to have more than 2 films to its name not including remakes, though
...and, no, I have yet to see the Insidious, [Rec], or Conjuring series/franchise - despite recommendations for each
Best Of Horreur Series/Franchise ::
Alien : Aliens
* Cameron's sequel is impressive, brutal, & shows pure Alien potential ...and, yes, hate me for loving the prequel series so far
Child's Play/Chucky : Cult Of Chucky
* Chucky's reign continues in the most delightfully evil fashion - Kirschner's imagination apparently has no bounds !
Critters : Critters 2: The Main Course
* the last theatrical Critters, with upped stakes and Critter 'younglings'
Exorcist : ...
* can't fully answer this one until I (re-)watch the sequels again, as I only remember ever seeing the 1st ( sorry :( )
Evil Dead : Army Of Darkness
* admittedly if I was to count the tv series, that'd get the win, but film-wise: Ash & medieval times are a killer mix
Final Destination : Final Destination 3 & The Final Destination (tie)
* a tough one - but based on most entertaining/brutal deaths, the 3rd & the 4th get the tied win
Friday The 13th : Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives
* not only the first Friday I got to see, but where the series/franchise makes Jason a true force to be reckoned with
Halloween : Halloween & Halloween (2018) (tie)
* the original Halloween had always gotten 'the win' - until this latest sequel, which hit the marks just as high for a tie
Hellraiser : Hellraiser III: Hell On Earth
* with 'pseudo-bites' instead of Cenobites, I still love the 3rd - of the series only Revelations blew goats ( thank gods for Judgment! )
Jaws : Jaws
* sorry sequels, but only the 1st gets the win here ( not that some of you weren't enjoyable )
Jeepers Creepers : [all 3]
* call it a cop-out, but each one has given more to the Creeper's tale while keeping the films enjoyable
Lost Boys : [all 3]
* give the original its day, but I think each hit their intended marks for equally enjoyable films & vampiric ideas
Nightmare On Elm Street : A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors
* by this point Freddy was dead-on dark horreur-humour, but add in dream-empowered patients & delightful kills for the win
Omen : The Omen (1976)
* while the sequels ( & remake ) were intriguing for what they were, the original did it best
Phantasm : Phantasm III: Lord Of The Dead
* the return of the original Mike & we discover more truths(?) of the Tall Man - and more delightful weirdness
Puppet Master : Puppet Master ( & Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich (tie) )
* *IF* I'm to include Fangoria's delightful gorefest, then it's a tie with the original - otherwise, 1st for the win
Predator : The Predator
* hate me all you want, but the 4th continues upping the ante & picquing my imagination for what more is yet to come
Romero's Dead : George A. Romero's Day Of The Dead
* I still don't understand why it was so unliked - it's a perfectly brutal & understandable continuation/humanity's conclusion
Return(ed) Dead : The Return Of The Living Dead & Return Of The Living Dead 3 (tie)
* the original + plus Trash vs Julie's 'devolution' ? we've got a highly enjoyable tie !
Saw : Saw II
* the original was great, but the sequel more fun - too bad the subsequent sequels ranged from godsawful to merely ok
Scream : Scream & Scream 2 (tie)
* while I enjoyed Scre4m & 3 was ok, they've kinda become the idea the 1st two parodied/warned about
Terminator : Terminator 2: Judgment Day
* the continuing Connor saga, the delightful T-1000, & opened potential on a series that I've enjoyed every film of thus far
Texas Chainsaw : The Texas Chain Saw Massacre & Texas Chainsaw
* of the 6 ( I purposefully ignore the remake & its sequel ), the 1st & 5th I find the most enjoyable & entertaining
Tremors : Tremors 2: Aftershocks
* giving us the 1st 'turn' in the series as these pre-prehistoric creatures evolve - lacking Bacon but Gross' reign begins

5/27 (10a) : *yeesh* daughters are STILL in bed - (wow) lazy li'l critters *laughs* ... seriously, wth, yeah it's raining & 'meh' outside but they're not even AWARE of this yet, they're just plain bein' buzzkills this mornin' :(
5/28 : guess I shouldn't be shocked that my former phone service provider that'd "forgot" to kill the service also "forgot" to tell me that I'd overpaid & just sent me a check for it ( I'd overpaid over a month worth! did they intend on letting me know ? it didn't show on any bills )
5/28 II : "are you democrat or republican"
I'm American
[pauses] "are you liberal or conservative"
what's the question
"are you liberal or conservative"
'what's the question' as in it depends on the question
"oh... uhm... what party did you vote for in the last election"
I voted for people, not for party
"what party did they belong to"
*sigh* refer to previous answer
"what party do you intend to vote for in the next election"
I don't
"you don't intend to vote ??"
I don't intend to vote by party
[pause - and *click*]
5/31 : neighbour's apartment across was broken into sometime this morning :( ...and I've got exactly 30$ until next payday - at least all of my bills are paid, so there's no worries on that end... just gonna be a boring weekend, likely - and just when we're getting good weather *sigh*
6/1 : the "we can smoke anywhere we want" guys are moving out this morning ( hadn't heard if they were booted out or not for breaking their lease, but wouldn't surprise me )... mgmt was yelling at them this am because they were supposed to be out last night, though, so there's that...

unusualist - I have yet to find a religion and/or spirituality that fits my own personal beliefs... other than, of course, the fact I am a (fallen) god.
( y'just now figured out that I'm basically a non-practicing hedonist? "if it feels good, do it, if it feels bad, you're doing it wrong" )
( "I believe in the proven power of willpower and the truth we are the gods we created. No one being created this universe and its wonders." )
( "the words of wisdom I follow will be the words I've written myself based on the life and experiences that I have Lived, Enjoyed, & Survived" )
( "may the platelets of justice travel the bloodstream of villainy, clog its arteries with honourable vengeance, and induce a coronary of truth" )
( "we are all inmates in the same asylum, some of us are just better at bribing the guards" )
( "In a previous life I was the engine block to a '56 chevy, I lost my heart to a Volkswagen Bus... er, wait - or was that a '57?" )
( "Godfuck Me, Jesus!" )
"Lately, we've been playing music by this chap named Bieber, gosh, you should hear the screams"
"Just fear me, love me, do as I say, and I will be your slave..."
"Oh, man. I'm sensing something very canadian about this place..."
"It's all true, god's an astronaut, Oz is over the rainbow, and Midian is where the monsters live..."
Jax : "yay for you, do you want a cookie or a bozo button?"
