new wireless router/modem now running - with only a minor hiccup (had to call so they could verify the new modem - and it helps if I plug into the right port... the old one only had the one port for phone/dsl !) ... already running much faster - and wireless appears better, too

I'm actually reaching the speeds I'm supposed to now with my dsl ( my download speed is now higher than what the service claims *laughs* - shhh, don't tell them! )
