( and, for some reason, seem to like me back *laughs* )
not often I get a nice, relaxing vacation - did very little driving, but didn't intend on going that far this trip anyways *grins*
sometimes the small towns can be such a nice break, even though the drama and strangeness is that much closer to the surface and obvious ;)
bits of sadness and laughter and - not surprising - love
... I may not have grown up around these friends, but most have become family in the little time I was first around 'em
wish I could do it more often, but this is the last vacation of this year - now just have t'figure out what I'm going to do next year :D
I still want to travel to another country - and, aye, do another roadtrip like this one next year... there are always people I miss or that miss me
sometimes even being within feet of each other and missed by mere distraction ! ( happened a couple times this trip, as I discovered since returning! )
just gotta start saving up again, that's all
all in all, a great way to end before my yearly re-set ( by next posting, it'll be the first being 45 :) - I'm slowly gettin' old! )
my youngest has had an ear infection that hasn't ended yet, so this weekend she'll be cared for by her older sister :)
but it'll be well, it always is... love my beautiful spawnlings ( obviously *grins* )
ANYways... I don't have much, but how often do I, really? :)

vacation twittage ::
6/28 : Cool ! management just told me that one of my old neighbours moved back and asked if I was still living here :) - a couple buildings over now, but still... a very fun to talk to retired fellow who'd wanted help with his tv ( and still does, I was told :) )
7/5 : I think the combo of the just over 5hr drive back plus staying up later than usual all vacation hit me... suddenly feelin' a wee bit on the tired side, zoning out as I'm putting away groceries - at least the ones that need t'be cold are put away, the rest can wait :)
7/6 : now that the rental's returned, I could unpack, put away the groceries I picked up last night, laundrification ritual #42... but instead I think I'm gonna relax a bit & watch a flick or two - the other stuff can wait yet, no rush :)
