Milestones : The 40 Week 1 Round Up/Update [T40W01RU/U]
As I begin another round of mostly-weekly Round Up/Updates, it comes to mind the milestones one approaches - or surpasses - in life...
while every year myself, and my ever-lovin' spawnlings, get older and as I watch them grow and learn I realize I continue to learn as well.
Then there's the "record"-type milestones that continue to grow as time passes, which makes life all the more intriguing...
3 1/2 years I've lived in this apartment, a mere stone's throw from where I work - the longest that I've lived in one Place (as an adult)!
6 years I've worked for the company I work for - the longest that I've ever worked for the same company in the same locale!
12 years I've lived in the Twin Cities area - THE longest that I've ever lived in one area... which is very frightening, honestly.
never in my life would I have thought that I'd live in one area for this long, what with my desire to wander and wish to continue southward.
BUT, since my spawnlings are my life, there is no question that I will continue to be in this area - at least, until my girls graduate...
as my youngest will just be entering 1st grade, I think it's a safe estimate that I'll be in the TC's for another 12yrs
*oof!* when that milestone arrives, it'll have been 24 years in the Cities... Oi! - and (wow!), as I was nigh 28 when I MOVED to the Cities!
