4th And Goal... : The 39 Week 52 Round Up/Update [T39W52RU/U]
ah, it's a crazy world we live in and I'm proud to say I contribute to that fact... oftimes on a daily basis
I survived the 4th off with nary a scratch, only a slight darkness to the skin, and only one odd instance :
"my friend is wondering if he can take you out to dinner"
"I'd rather go with you"
"oh... sorry, then"
ok, so not actually odd when one considers that EVERY year since I moved to the Cities I've been hit on by a guy...
though in this case it was a guy utilizing a friend to do the hitting on...
and, unfortunately *sighs*, she was pretty cute, too
BUT, no worries - I've gotten quite used to it... and it's always been a rarity that I've been hit on
( though I should add I *AM* relatively oblivious and sometimes have found out days - or years - later that I was even being flirted with )
but a 4day weekend has begun... done on purpose, for a change, mainly due to the upcoming anniversary of aging, thusly taking the days off as a social preventative
the weekend itself should be fun/interesting, though - my fathre is coming this way, possibly along with my younger sister and my nephew
it isn't often that I see my fathre, though due to the fact it's a rough 8hr trip driving one-way... and myself sans vehicular transportation since '99!
I don't mind, though - I've learned it's oftimes safer to keep relatives at a distance (though I miss some, there are others I wish I'd see less often!)
for those who aren't connected to me via fb or twitter, here's a little taste of how my mind has been this eve ::
may the platelets of justice travel the bloodstream of villainy, clog its arteries with honourable vengeance, and induce a coronary of truth
there is nothing to fear but the rabbit that stalks at midnight as a squirrel offering promises of peace, tranquility, and a dozen cupcakes
who knows what wickedness dwells in that marshmallow heart of chocolately goodness one finds only in the sugary pit of one's candy aisles!
dare you face the tyrrany of those who would dare deprive the world of that one, pure, true thing that would save us? ...set our bacon free!
