Urges, Desires, & Defeat? : The 39 Week 46 Round Up/Update [T39W46RU/U]
for some reason, once the rain started this eve, I had this sudden urge to go for a walk... so I did. Only went less than 2miles out before I turned back, but still...
of course, by the time I returned I was soaked even though the leather jacket I'd thrown on - and probably looked like a wet rat (as usual), but still...
it was worth it... and I came back with this utter feeling that I'd completed something I needed to - a great feeling, that!
( so, yes, I'm writing this in my underwear - I hope you don't mind! )
It's a long weekend where I only have my daughters on Monday - which leaves Satyr's Day, and Tsunday wide open...
so I sent out a message a la facebook/twitter that anyone semi-local who wants t'see the new Star Trek and/or Iron Man t'pick me up and I'll pay/my treat!
I don't get out to theatres very often and the only one within walking distance is a cinema grill that doesn't play first-runs...
not that I wouldn't go there (hells, if no one takes up my offer, I probably will!), but I'd still like t'see either of the aforementioned films
they're slightly/temporarily restructuring positions again at work - only because the last restructing didn't work as well as expected
( I admit, starting off behind I've gotten ahead ONLY a little and am only maintaining rather than catching up *sighs*
- which has left other aspects of the job on haitus... not a good thing when people are expecting project completion
)
nonetheless, hopefully this temp-restructuring will get us back to "ground zero" and we'll gauge what direction(s) from there
I hate being behind and've tried like hell to get ahead on the backlog, but I've admitted "defeat" in the sense of - as already mentioned - maintaining without much furthering
the good thing is I've kept busy - substantially busy! - but sometimes/some days have been so hectic that even *I* was on the verge of stress
( thankfully I'm one of those that doesn't think/work on work outside of work, when I'm home I'm out of workmode nigh-completely
)
