Seasons Reasons, Killers, Popes, & Judges : The 39 Week 23 Round Up/Update [T39W23RU/U]
around this time of year I hear so much of the "the reason of the season" C.R.A.P. that I nearly choke on the uprising vomit.
I hate to be cruel and unusual, but it's readily apparent that most of the Ridiculous Religious Reich haven't studied the history of their own holidays.
For one thing, to the RRR "reason for the season"ers - YOURS is NOT the only...
Why "Happy Holidays?" Here's just a handful of reasons :
Yule!
Sol Invictus!
Eid al-Adha!
Kwanzaa!
Hanukkah!
Festivus!
Saturnalia!
Solstice!
Mummer's Day!
Mdraniht!
Hogmanay!
xmas
and they're not the only ones, either. Get a grip and Respect All!
it's one thing to hear a "Merry Xmas" or "Happy Hanukkah" but for f's sake, when I read "the reason for the season" shiite... *ahem*
Moving on, then...
this week alone has been interesting in this great big world of ours...
this morning, for example :
first, the Connecticut elementary school shooting, for which they are STILL releasing info and changing info already given - tragedy, pointless (as is all tragedy), but who wants to guess that they're going to ride this into a "gun control" issue rather than the Mental Health issue that it truly is?!
*sighs*
second, on a local level - someone carjacked a Police car... yes, I'm serious. and in the wake of it they (finally) release that in the past few weeks this carjacker had done a couple of other local things including assaulting a SuperAmerica employee.
LOVE-ley *shakes head*
and, of course, there's the Pope - "belovd" figure and likely minion of the 7 hells...
why ELSE would he bless Ugandan Rebecca Kadaga and her actions?
oh, for those NOT in the loop on this one, Ugandan speaker Rebecca Kadaga has promised the passing of a Ugandan Kill The Gays bill in the next few days, if not before Xmas.
ah... for a country rife with murder what better way to stem the hatred than murdering gays, normally a hallmark of crimes against humanity.
...and now with the Pope's blessing, no less.
Way to go, Pope Benedict Asshat. You're QUITE the humanitarian.
...anyone ready for an assassination attempt in the news? I'm expecting one.

last (for now) but not least, that good ol' California Judge that admonished a rape victim because the body "will not permit that to happen."
one can only guess the judge must be a believer in spontaneous Vagina Dentata...
hells, being threatened to have my genitals mutilated with a heated screwdriver, being beaten, and then being forced to have sex orally and otherwise - of COURSE that's something anyone desires.
maybe it's just me, Judge Asshat, but I don't think the victim wanted it, I really don't.
Another prime humanitarian coming into the light.
