Humanary Stew : The 39 Week 3 Round Up/Update [T39W03RU/U]

Heroes, idols, whatever you wish to call them... I've never been amongst the "norm" that idolizes/hero worships sports figures and that lot...
to me it's imagination, strength, and creativity that led to what could possibly be considered mine.
My main hero/idol is/was my older sister - Jacqueline aka "Jax," despite our never been close as children in later years she was my advisor when I needed one and helped me through a lot...
her loss was, to say the least, devestating and since I've had only myself to rely upon when I had ponderances that I would've loved to have her advise on.
I suppose in some ways this is/was a good thing, as I had to rely upon myself more than I ever had before - but it was a loss of someone that mean more to me than many realized.
I named my eldest living daughter after her, in tribute to the most important person there's ever been in my life.
Of my other heroes/idols, I've only been able to see one - in the past few years, no less! - and only one other is even feasable, should they ever return to the stage:
Alice Cooper, whom I finally got to see when he played in Moorhead semi-recently... amazing and well WELL worth the trip to see my hero/idol up on stage!
David Bowie, who has no been long retired from doing shows... unfortunately. should he ever again and somewhere I could actually get to, you bet your @$$ I'll be there!
Theodore Roosevelt, my only idol/hero who isn't cinematiq or musiqa related - he admitted his flaws and kept his personal out of his political... something today's politicians could learn from!!
Humphrey Bogart, one of - if not THE - best cinematiq icons there ever were... while trademarked a noble cynic, his performances were brilliant from b-film heavy to hard-boiled (anti-)hero.
Katherine Hepburn, the "female Bogart," strong, independent, and spirited when they were considered flaws rather than advantages.
not a long list, no... a humanary stew of imagination, strength, and creativity... but there it is.
I have "shifting favourites," of course, amongst others and, of course, you can't judge an actor by one film nor a singer/band by one song...
take Tom Hanks for example - Bosom Buddies = Helsyeh!, his early comedies: Splash, Bachelor Party, The Money Pit, Dragnet 87, the 'Burbs - even A League Of Their Own... demn funny stuff!
once he started becoming a "serious" actor, yehhhh, not so much. I admit I liked some: Philadelphia, Apollo 13, Saving Private Ryan, Cast Away... but the majority I've either had no interest in or thought it blew goats (*coughs*ForrestGumpSuckedBalls*coughs*).
nonetheless, I don't hate who he is as an actor and can still thoroughly enjoy the comedies ( is Bosom Buddies out on DVD yet?? WITH the musical numbers? don't pull another WKRP In Cincinnati fiasco!! ).
