Lightning Strike!!
at roughly 10:30 this morning, as I was standing on my deck pondering whether I should brave the storm and hit the bank (since I need to get cash/quarters to do some much needed laundry), suddenly - LIGHTNING STRIKE! Right across the f'n street. (as I type this the firemen, police, trucks, etc. are still here ... and it's still f'n storming)
I almost literally jumped right back into my apartment... I grabbed the phone quick, called 911 (they had gotten a call about a lightning strike a few blocks away, but I think this is the one that was meant), then grabbed the camera and took a few pics.
...and, yes, I decided I'm gonna wait 'til the storm is done before I walk. This might've - just might've - been a hint, y'know?
...so, here's the pics, from the first plumes after I got off the phone to when it stopped smoking :
and - of course - there's "more of the same" in the facebook album itself : lightning album
I'm gonna (finally) take a shower now.
