Going Through Changes / Eye Pause(d)

even with the latest snowfall (that's actually stayed - a first for this winter?), it's been fairly decent (not warm, but decent), so I'd taken advantage of it and hit a couple local areas looking for things... such as after work yesterday when I'd decided to finally get new glasses...

unfortunately it seems many places are "in the midst of change" or similar and so I'd gotten a lot of "we used to carry that, but..." *sighs*.

As for the glasses, the place I went to two years ago no longer does walk-in eye exams (demn it) - and now it even costs (not a lot, but does cost) for an eye exam. SO...
I've got to make a call (since they didn't have "the book" last night to set one) to set up an appointment to get an eye exam in order to get myself a new pair of glasses ... pairs, actually, since the place is having a two-for-one no-exceptions deal on glasses. So I guess that'll semi-somewhat account for having to pay/wait for an eye exam?

As for other things, I guess I've got to look online.

Is it just my area where nearly every demn business is either closing, changing names, or changing what they carry/don't carry?!
