when I tell people I have a shiiteload of nicknames, I'm quite seriously not kidding.
I've lived in various parts of this state, sometimes even for only a few months, but for everyplace I've lived I have a couple, if not several, different nicknames!
some people call me by one or two, but usually I'm known by a single nick by a single person, which can be humerous when people want to introduce me to someone who already knows me by another name (this has happened more than a few times, actually)!
"Wolfox" (as you know, from the extended "thom Wolfox sR Rhose" I write under), "Grr" (one of the most known ones, actually), "Schmoo(God)" (when I lived in F/M, mostly), "Crit(ical)" (sometimes "Critter") and "WildSide" (both from when I lived in "Brr"midji, though WildSide was only when I had a stripe in my hair), and quite, QUITe a few more.
one in particular I'm quite proud of ( though I'm admittedly "out of practice," so to speak, from it's origin ) :
"AK" ( or "Aussie Kisses" )
a nickname I'm quite proud to have earned... it originally came from something I used to say in humour but then a couple of (ex-)girlfriends starting actually calling me "AK" and it stuck :
"what's the definition of an Aussie Kiss?"
"it's like a French Kiss, but Down Under."
and then I saw THIS today :
they stole my nickname, demn it! (I like it, yes, but still ... it's one of MY names!!)
