Mis-Offending, Madness, And Missing The Chaos...
the ex-wife will be spending a good portion of next week with her former in-laws (my fathre and sister) *smirks*...
and the girls, of course.
I'm quite certain it's bound to be... intriguing, at the very least (especially knowing the ex as I do *laughs*)!
I personally haven't been out that way in quite some time now, but it's a helluva walk from where I live to north-of-nowhere RRV north dakota.
of course, I also admit I go just a... wee bit mad/crazy... when I'm bored without distraction of some kind. and watching TV shows just doesn't do it for me, I'm afraid. *shrugs*
which is probably why (I think) I drove people at work just a... wee bit crazy... for the latter half of the day.
they started hooking up my new "workstation" in the 2nd half of the day - and as I'm one of those who likes to keep busy, it was (I admit) a little maddening playing "the waiting game."
but... tomorrow I'll have t'get used to a new system with upgraded... well, everything, pretty much - so I'm sure I'll have at least a few settings to adjust to my liking...
sadly, it seems/feels sometimes that the chaotic world I used to live in has become... all too stable and unchanging.
that's part of what I love about my daughters, EVERY weekend with them is completely different - they're chaos incarnate sometimes.
while some/most people like things to be the same, I like things to shift and change and flow... though I'm well aware my "lifestyle" is a big factor in that.
the combination of affordability and things I obviously lack (such as a vehicle, places to go, etc.) make for a... very quiet "lifestyle."
I can't remember who I told it to, though I (accidentally) offended them, I think, by saying it...
I had mentioned that I miss the every other weekend calls I used to get from people - but before I could continue they chimed in with saying they'd be willing to...
and I finished by saying that it's probably a good thing, though, since the people that used to call every other weekend have each died one after the other and I don't want to deal with that anymore.
I didn't mean to offend, seriously I didn't - but it's true. and it bothers/annoys me.
I should be used to friends dying, since I lose anywhere from 2 to 10 every year for the past 23yrs (the fact I still have friends that are alive is almost scary sometimes, too).
but when you spend every other weekend talking and/or teasing and/or having intense conversations and then... suddenly... it's over. that's it. sorry, but you won't be getting that call ever again.
...it's harsh.
and, yes, I am sick of it happening.
ANYways... think I said too much on that last bit.
apologies.
