Dreamage / Autumn Arrives / Acidic / Offered Cookage...
I find it saddening but funny that even in my sexually-oriented dreams I'm denied and/or it never gets to "that point." *smirks/sighs* ...
...it's true. summer is over, we've arrived at the Autumnal Equinox, the Great Feast/Harvest, Mabon, Fall, Cat-Free Day (in Europe & Montral), etc. etc.
for some damned reason I woke up really needing Tums/antacids *ugh* ... not a fun feeling, either, and unrelated to the aforementioned dream.
so, no, I don't feel all that well but I'm still standing so still functional ... as long as it doesn't get worse somehow, I'll be cool/kosher.
Thus, moving on...
I've had people oddly enough offer to cook for me lately...
now, no offense meant, but I am a picky SOB when it comes to foodstuffs - though I've called it being a "purist." (just to make myself feel better, I'm certain).
by "purist," I mean that I'm not a fan of "mixed" foodstuffs. To me a soup is simply broth and noodles, NOTHING else - add something else and it's become a stew... and I don't like stews.
I like my burgers plain, just the burger and the bun. I'm not a big fan of sauces, though Buffalo Wild Wings I've gotten used to on their wings (it's not too thick, thankfully) and Olive Garden is really good about less sauce when I order fetuccini alfredo (just the noodles and the sauce, btw)!
there ARE and have been rare occasions, I admit, where mixed foodstuffs haven't tasted too bad - but for the most part, my body just won't accept it. seriously - instantaneous gag reflex and/or [*ugh* I won't even go there].
so, yeh - don't be mixing oddities into the meat/poultry/etc... trust me, I love a good marinate (as long as it's not tomato based *ugh*) and seasoning? Helsyeh! but otherwise, yehhhh. could be bad.
doesn't help either that my body relates dairy to strong alcohol where having dairy equates to getting drunk but with a MUCH worse hangover *sighs*.
( just one of many unfortunate food allergies - though the dairy "hyper"-allergy, as I was told it was called back in the day, is the worst )
So, if you really want to cook for me - I apologize for the fact that it'll be extremely boring cooking for someone like me.
