Because someone asked, I might as well make it public - if anything, for the humour aspect of it :
q) Have you ever, actually, asked anyone out?
a) Yes, I have - quite a few times in my past, actually. But the score is naught, exactly zero, nada, zip. Not once did I get a positive response.
While, yes, it is true that I have had 4 ex's (one of which is the ex-wife) in the past 18+ years, I didn't ask a single one of them out. Humerously I didn't even date my ex-wife, the one that lasted the longest.
They either asked me out or we simply ended up together - for as short a period of time as it may have been (for the majority).
Does that answer your question sufficiently? Short answer : Yes.
