CON, the Coop, and Updated "Goals"
We're a "mere" 4 weeks away from (personally, my last) CONvergence... should be intriguing!
It'll be my 6th year being there (though I didn't start volunteering my first year, I admit). The Satyr's Day of "the CON" it'll be a decade since my sister died. (damn)
S'going to be intriguing, indeed. Oh, what will I possibly use up my vacation time on next year?!
We're also 9 weeks and a few days away from a car-rental road trip to see THE Alice Cooper playing in Nomoorhead.
Suppose I should get in gear and book m'self a hotel room, neh? (heh) - the closest hotels are a good 2miles from the venue itself and of mixed affordability.
Most nearby are just off of 94 at 75 (or further down 75), so purt near perfect, as I'd be taking 94 to get to Nomoorhead in the first place - the cheaper down 75 rather than just off the I.
(and I think I can probably just take 75 down to 40th and that's pretty much where Alice will be playing) Super 8's bound to be fairly decent for an affordable hotel, one'd think?

On a sidenote, I've had to - due to recent death of microwave - update my goals. The micro will have to come a little sooner than some o'the others if I'm gonna cook half m'food.
Current "goals" :
* dresser
* electric blanket
* standing-style lamp
* umbrella
* shoes
* microwave
some o'these have been on my list for a few years now (dresser & electric blanket, for instance) - others I keep on there, like shoes, since I wear through them so fast what with walking everywhere I go.
