After 3 days with a migraine, I figured I'd do something fun for my SG followers/friends and maybe some new people who will stumble upon me! If you are part of the latter, thanks for coming and reading this! I hope you'll decide to follow me!

Anyhow, last weekend, I did some cosplay work. There was a grand opening of a new Comic/Coffee Shop and I was asked to be the cosplayer for it. I got to work with one of my favorite comic artists, Langdon Foss. If you don't already recognize his name, you should seriously look him up! Especially if you're a Marvel comic reader/fan, or a fan of chef Anthony Bourdain! Don't be confused about the last one, look him up, and you'll get it.

(above: Langdon and I. He's drawing a little Loki for me, and I also got lucky number #13 out of 50 Ant Man prints he drew. I own a lot of his original pieces for various comics. In fact, there's a concept piece from his most famous comic hanging above my head right now.)

After I spent some time with Langdon, I wandered around the shop dressed as Wasp (from Ant Man, the original, more well-known costume, which was made by No Soda Cosplay, instead of by me. I do trade work with her, and she's the one who made my Pink Lady Deadpool as well.

I was interviewed live on a podcast called BitFaced. My episode goes live tomorrow, so head to Bitfaced.com then and check it out! We talked about a lot. I love doing this kind of thing to show that I'm not just some "girl who wears costumes for attention". I'm one of those people (because this shouldn't be limited to just women, since the notion that women can't be geeks too, is just wrong) who actually reads the comics of the characters I play. I research their history, their lore, and any costumes they have that I might like, and then, and only then, is when I feel ready to make said cosplay, which can take me months, as I sew everything I make by hand.

Now you all know my secret to hiding waist-long dreads under wigs: the sort-of beehive. I couldn't find my wig caps, so I had to make do. Which reminds me, I should seriously look for those because I might need them next week for something awesome and huge! 😉 Please cross all appendages you may have that I get good news in the next couple of days for something that's going to literally launch my cosplaying to heights I never expected!

I know I've been posting a bunch of videos of my cat lately. Specifically, my bengal named Phoebe. My MaineCoon, Nyx, is hard to get photos of sometimes because she's the kind that sniffs the camera and will rub her face on it, rather than sit still. But, she's the same kitty who makes an appearance in my "Simply Sid" set. Anyway, here is "Derp Kitten" trying to win a cute standoff between her and Nyx, which she lost by running away.

And just a few more things. It's been awhile since I posted my nerd collection. I had barely moved it into the new shelving, and last time I posted it, it hadn't been to all the conventions and put up some of my swag yet. So here's this:

There's a shelf below the last one on the left with a bunch of Funko plushies and some mini bobbleheads along with a couple of regular bobbles I got from Loot Crate back when I used to get it, but I cancelled it because I wasn't getting enough things I actually liked, and found myself giving away most of the boxes. It was a waste of money for us. Oh, and my newest one is the Godzilla down on that lower left shelf. He glows in the dark!

Well, I've got nothing else to talk about. I have some top secret things that might be happening soon, but with my luck, they won't. I need a break from morons, people trying to start drama, and jerks (I'm too old for this shit), and this would be the ultimate getaway from all that. Plus, I'd be in heaven and making some money! Wee!

I will leave you with this to get excited about. It seems like it's going to be forever until it gets seen, but hopefully, it won't feel so bad in reality.
