I've started collecting the new 50th anniversary Mars Attacks! cards recently. It reminds me of how fun it is to open a pack and find awesome things you weren't expecting and new pieces of art to add to the collection.

I've been a big nerd since I was a kid. Collecting comics and cards was my bonding exercise with my dad, and I guess since I'm doing it again, it's refreshing my great memories of my dad again. It's pretty magical (yes, that's cheesy, I know).

It just sucks that I can't figure out a way to budget the collecting in. We've had some crappy monetary setbacks the past two months, and it's breaking me down. Car problems, unexpected bills... Ugh.

If you want to help put a smile on my face *nudge nudge*, I've added packs of the cards to my wishlist. Yeah, I plugged it. I'm a dick, I guess. But if you don't want to send me anything, that's okay too. Just post something cute and/or funny in my comments as a replacement. That's free.

I sure could use some smiles.

I'm sure a lot of you know what it's like to be lost in that grind and not making any headway. I just want a little peace, you know? Hopefully, we'll all find some soon.
