Tomorrow marks the 8th full year I've been a Suicide girl.
I was 19, a little goth girl at Berklee College of Music, majoring in Music Business. I thought I had the world figured out, and that I was going to be some hot shot promoter. *sigh*
It's funny how life completely changes you. Eight years ago, I didn't think I'd be married now or that the economy would be how it is. I thought I'd be rich and living in New York City at the age of 27, not in the middle of Colorado...
I guess that all doesn't matter though. I'm happy with what I've got, and while things could always be better, I'm comfortable with my standing in the world...
There's still the matter of another set being in the pipeline of MR. So that means you can look at my first set, then the new one and see how much I've grown.
Someone once called me "SG's chameleon". While I'm still on the weird side and will always be a goth kid at heart, I think I've just gotten lazy with being outrageous all the time. Besides, I've nowhere to go to look awesome. I'm not going to start wearing latex to the mall, and our one goth club is kind of a joke. It's one of the things I miss about Boston... Being a weirdo and no one caring (also goth clubs).
My next box o' organic veggies arrives tomorrow. I can't wait to see what I get. It's like Christmas!
