People can be particularly abusive toward those they think don't "look" handicapped. There's a real lack of education and general compassion in this country.

Totally agree with not assuming. The young people I was referring to freely admitted to not being handicapped when confronted. There's just no enforcement here.

I had a huge interest in history and archaeology in high school and college. Didn't think it was anything I could make a living at though. Still read anything I come across on it though, and love the History channel.

@wizard0 I took archaeology and anthropology in high school, which got me started. I really wish that I had majored in it.

@vanh5150 I was so excited to see head-bound skulls so they were elongated in person! I mean, I've seen replica ones, and I've seen statuary and carvings of Akhenaten and some stuff belonging to him in the past, but never a real one. If you ever make it out to Boston, the Museum of Fine Arts has the largest Egyptian collection, including mummies, in the US. I was fortunate enough to live right behind it and was able to just flash my college ID to get in for free. I spent a lot of free time there, and I spent a lot of time practicing my photography on the statuary and the Egyptian Art. I actually got my favorite painting tattooed to me, the bottom piece of my left arm's sleeve. It was on loan from the Uffizi in Florence when I lived in Boston, and I got to see it in it's natural home years later when I went on a month-long trip around Europe and Northern Africa. I excited a few Japanese tourists when they saw me standing next to the painting. It was super cute.

I think every woman should make her own decisions about how she wants to present herself, but for what it's worth I like you just the way your are in appearance. Wish our healthcare system were better for managing your health issues. But YOU are marvelous.
