My day was boring. I worked really hard because someone called in sick. People kept telling me that I looked tired and too thin, and asked if I had been sick. It made me feel bad.
Now I have just a few hours to sleep because I have to open the store tomorrow.
So my day wasn't that special.
Oh, yeah, I paid my rent.

I've never been a fan of getting my teeth cleaned....which I had an appointment for this afternoon. I look at it as a necessary evil that comes along every 6 months. I am looking forward to fall too. The indian summers here are beautiful, but HOT. And waitressing in the hot sun while covered in kitchen grease is no fun, especially if you are stuffed to capacity with french toast and bacon.

My trip to Omaha was great...it was a good time to catch up with a friend that I hadn't seen for awhile. We went down to the Old Market part of town, next to the river where there are all kinds of shops, cafes, pubs....a real eclectic mix of things. Lots of people strolling around and horse drawn carriages , with horses hooves clip clopping...

Not to be too repetitive, but I'm bracing for another round of severe thunderstorms today. The sky turned green and then black yesterday, as the storm approached. You could see it coming and it was moving toward me fast! The sound of the thunder made the house shake and it got so darrk and black outside, that the security lights came on. 60 mph winds...
