I'm not sure why, but I seem to be stuck in a musical nostalgia rut lately....preferring to listen to some of the music of my youth, rather than todays tunes. I was thinking about the group Bread this morning for some reason.Oh, I'll pick back up with the contemporary stuff again soon enough, but it seems like I always seem to enjoy a mix of th old and new.

I have a ton of goldfinch around my house that swarm my feeders all day long. I have 3 niger thistle feeders out and the 18 perches are full from morning til night, with others perched on the hooks, waiting for an opening. It's fun to watch them....they sometimes squabble over the perches with each other, but are pretty civil to one another for the most part. The little boogers are eating me into poverty though....I have to fill the feeders every other day and I'll soon have gone through my 4th 20lb. bag of niger thistle seed this season!

It looks like some rain might be on the agenda for us here over the weekend. If it does decide to let loose with the wet stuff, I'm planning on being a bum for the weekend. I have plenty of things to occupy myself inside without having to go out and get wet, so I might just make like a hermit and hole up in my cave. I did buy a great looking Boston shoulder blade pork roast to ccok on Sunday for dinner. Potatos, carrots and onions will go in the oven with the roast to complete the main course. My mouth is watering already!

Hope your day was as good as mine....and if it was better than mine....well, I won't hold that against you!
