ok, here it is: another update before i have replied to the comments on my last entry. i always feel like an ass but i hope you'll all give me a break.
i don't have many photos to post from the vancouver/seattle trip right now because most of the photos i took were on film.
first we stopped in banff and had breakfast at this ridiculous diner that had no vowels in its name. then we picked up a bear to add to the dashboard zoo. and since when is banff populated solely with austrailians?
then we drove for like 10 hours and through ridiculous hicktowns like REVELSTOKE and MERITT. my advice is never, never stop in meritt. the drive was kind of scary--it being snowy and dark and all.
it was really nice to get into vancouver and see s_eldorado, ladyexxa, devika, truffles, hethral, pough, fenris23 and everyone else who came out. i forget names beyond there--it's a bit of a blur, as i was quite tired. sublive slept on s_eldorado's floor and i was so tired, the lack of a bed hardly mattered.
the next day, we hung around on granville with ladyexxa and she took us to the children's mall. it was FUCKING AWESOME. she had class, so she took off and we commenced the drive to seattle. i'd never been out of canada so it was quite exciting for me to cross the border. on the drive, i stuck a lot more animals to the dash.
we got SO turned around on the freeways in seattle during fricking RUSH HOUR. it was super aggravating but then we got to our hotel and relaxed.
THENNN we met up with my internet-friend garrett, who i've talked to since january or february 2000 without ever having met him. he's so fun! he also had a couple of friends with him so we went to this delicious pub, a peep show (which was awesome) and then a craaazy gay karaoke bar. i sang danke shoen, which seems to be my old standby. i had a great time and drank a bit of pabst blue ribbon, which is a lot like my favourite canadian beer, pilsner.
the next day sublive and i wandered around the town with garrett. here is g. next to a wall of gum. he and i both stuck gum on it too. it's kind of gross but i'm not too put off.
here is garrett fondling a sasquatch.
we went to the pike place market and had some goooood pizza and it was, all in all, a cool place to be. then we tried to find bruce lee's grave and the guy at the hotel gave us SHITTY directions. this is me being excited upon the discovery of a house flying a canadian flag:
bruce lee's grave was pretty cool. then we drove around and found the fremont troll and climbed on it, and eventually found our way to a beach where we found a dying bonfire and stood round it for a couple hours. i picked up a tonne of shells and rocks and had quite the lovely time. garrett's friends were quite nice, and, as i've said, he's super rad. i'm glad we finally met.
the next day, sublive and i left seattle early on wednesday and tried to find jimi hendrix's grave in renton. seems the hotel guy gave us shitty directions for THAT, too. we then commenced our 12 hour drive home. BAH. the scenery was gross from after the cascade mountains until we were north of coeur d'alene. the drive was kind of lame because we spent like 4 hours of it in darkness.
since i got home i've been quite busy, too. I SAW THE GOBLET OF FIRE LAST NIGHT!!! it was sooooo goood.
and tomorrow i am getting my wisdom teeth out. i am absolutely terrified. i would like you all to send me very, very good thoughts at 1130 mountain standard time tomorrow.:S

As a chartered dude, I will mainly act cool and look more professional than I am in real life. It's just a recognition that you've kept working in the same area after you've left university.
