Wedding sentence:

When you're standing there -- second usher behind the half-brother who took off years ago to become a Southern doctor and ended up spending far more time in school than he'd thought he would before he realized he'd just enjoyed academia too much to step out in the world and be an adult, and the best man who's still nervous about the speech...

well, im at that age when my mother is starting to subtley point out that she could always do with another 'daughter' and, of course, some more grandchildren.

unfortunately she has no clue that my 19 year old brother is more likely to get married than me. Of course he dates car-skanks so i wouldnt be surpised if one of them manages to trap him into holy matrimony.

ps. franke is super-hott! mmmmm franke....

Long sentences rule, my man, coherent, intelligent dialogue is a beautiful thing.
Poor pastor, that's depressing in a strange way.

My inner geek speaks:

For my eight birthday, my parents got me a Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), along with a few games (Kung Fu sticks out in my head; as does the Karate Kid game, though I seem to think we got that later), and a really swanky book that had walkthroughs and reviews of all ninety games that Nintendo had out at the...

yeah, nintendo power as a little fanzine was very cool. I remember the early issues, even before it was this big bound thing, when it was just a little pamphlet like thing. Kung Fu ruled, too. I'd play through that sucker regularly, kicking some kung fu butt.

I think there should be an official Divine Church of the Mighty Cunnilingus neckbrace someday. It would help. I'm also a fan of the faerie of the perpetual orgasm... I had a vday button of her once. I need to make a new one. yeah yeah.
frankie18:
i had the same childhood video game experience as you did. except since im younger it was super nintendo for me. i also got a subscription to nintendo power. i used to save each issue and put them in a shelf in cronological order for easy access. i dont feel guilty about it though. i still have my snes and i still play it. just wish i woulda kept the mags. instead though i look back and feel happy. remembering all the simple little things that used to make me happy. all the dumb stuff my little brother and i used to do. and how lovely and delightful it was to be young.

There were cogs, wheels, pistons, lubricants, steam pipes, little gnomish men walking around constantly making adjustments, manuals laying about filled with all manner of arcane calculations, and some annoying woman from Brooklyn over the loudspeaker coordinating everything. I never knew female pleasure was that complicated.

There's something about going down that makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

female pleasure isn't all that complicated, you just have to know how to do it right. and i imagine from your enthusiasm that you do, and that the manuals laying about are not really needed. ah, yes. the warm fuzzy feeling.

we should have a chess match. from the sounds of it we're about equal in ability. check.
krista:
Lucky for me, pleasure is easily attained.

Damn the whole technology thing. I can't live without, but it makes my life hell.

Oh, that is really a picture of me. From about 3 years ago.

A few points:

(i) Merely because the woman on strings assigns the grades at the end of the term doesn't mean that what she says is right.

(ii) If I ever try to participate in another gender politics discussion, I want someone to kick me in the head and say, "No," like they were talking to a four-year-old who should've known better.

(iii) Searching For...

I'm walking in the rut my father made in the field where blueberries once grew. The sun, an angry, red slash against the sky; even in spring the wind has teeth, biting my bare arms. My left heel burns as the slightly too tight boot pinches it with every step; in the morning, when I'd slipped them on, I'd marvelled at the way the leather...

Renovations continued; right hand injured further; am coming to the realization that labor that breaks the back also dulls the mind. Case in point:

There was that first time in the elevator, getting on at separate floors to make it seem less obvious when she backed up until she pressed against me, my nose nestled in her sweet-smelling hair, took my hand to the hem...

Yes, I did present tense to further illustrate my point of "Sieze this moment". It would be pretty neat if things like what this elvator scene happened to me. Actually it reminds me of this jap video. One jap woman, one subway, one camera, etc etc.

A nickle's worth of free advice: when asked if you want to help your parents rennovate the forty-year-old house that your father has just inherited from his now deceased mother (your grandmother) so that your older sister -- who's dating a gentleman who you don't like very much but have to put up with anyway -- can move in, and said help will involve you...

unfortunately, i would much prefer dangerous physical labor over sitting in a cubicle all day calling people that dont pay their bills. not that i have a job at all right now, but whatever.

as for your dad, how muh does it bother you that you cant tell him? if your thing isnt really that much a part of your life, or if you dont feel its an integral part of your personality then you probably dont feel like this huge need to tell him. but you are having dreams about it though, so it seems like something you wish you could do. it really sucks being in that position, even when the person's approval isnt the highest thing on your priority list.

and i totally agree w/ you on my own private idaho. van sant seems like really hit or miss in my opinion, i mean, good will hunting kinda sucked real bad. but i really enjoyed To Die For, and even cowgirls get the blues had its good moments. i even liked his remake of psycho.

The dream was strange only in that after it was over I felt empty and sad. This has happened before. Not the same dream, but the same feelings associated with it, afterwards. The poly dream; the dream about the cheerleader; the dream where I was old and by a fire with someone in the chair next to me who was so very interesting; the dreams...

Prior to my engagement, in my single days, I often had dreams that I had the coolest girlfriend in the world and was totally in love. Often times, I would have her name, phone number or address scribbled on a piece of paper in the dream (which I would try to memorize. When I would wake up, I kept a notebook by my bed and tried to remember her info, which always evaporated within seconds of my waking up! AAA!

Hey, here's some (rather poor) pictures of 3 of my artworks. And I did complete a 20 minute EP about Inverted Betsy Ross, with just myself and a Casio keyboard. It's AWFUL, but funny music.

The first is a Luscious Box, which is an erotic set of photos and materials that document a mysterious and fictional person:

The next is a Pseudo-Historical box (Inverted Betsy Ross) :

I finally managed to catch Spirited Away with my sister last night, and I always experience a degree of culture shock when I come back to anime after having been away for a while. There's always a feeling of viewing something that wasn't meant for me; that many of the tics that give me pause would be readily accepted by the audience for which it...

There's a degree of restlessness about today. My parents and I silently judging each other's actions. I'll be visiting my brother, but am now wondering if I'm imposing myself. I realized that I haven't worked on anything substantial for almost three weeks (I think). The Italian girl is flirting again. And my sore throat only seems to get worse.

A moment that gave me pause...

I can't think straight enough to formulate a good reply to what you wrote, but these sequelish thoughts are worming through my gray matter, something about how sequels might define this era (not just in terms of movies, but in terms of ideas and franchises and, um, wars).

For convience, and I assumed modesty's sake, the Violinist shared a bed with her college friend whom we were visiting, while I was put in the makeshift apartment above the pool house. It had the musty smell of disuse that clings to all guest rooms, regardless of how clean the fresh sheets were that had been placed on the bed before I got up there....
