BY the way....Condoleeza Rice commented today that "this war came to us, not the other way around."
Gee, that's funny...I thought that Osama Bin was Afghani, and I also thought that he was part of a terrorist organization, not the Afghani government or it's citizens.

So, basically, under her rationale, if someone comes after you with anger and violence, you should go to where they...

The sun is shining. The birds are singing. All the clouds are going to blow away and bring us into a new and beautiful era of happy shiny people. The government wants to make the poor people happy. The wealthy are going to start giving back to their communities. All war will cease and all nations will get along, forgetting their differences. Your children will...

Check out this story...Not only does it show how much of a "police state" this country is turning into, but this is also a racial thing. They would have never done this to a little white girl in braids; Only a minority in braids...Somebody please tell me what the hell is going on out there.
ARRR!!!

Sorry, 'bout the "head explody" comment, but I meant nothing more than to be playful. I'll try not to be so irrational, and try to use more wink icons so you know when I'm being friendly.

whistle blower: an informant who exposes wrongdoing within an organization in the hope of stopping it.

I still think you are over-reacting to that story. I think it's storys like that that prove journalism in this country is truly dead. Which in fact was the point I was trying to make by giving those four other topics. I guess we'll agree to disagree. wink

We have a new Pope. We have a new Conservative Pope. We have a Problem.
This new pope met Catholic critics with some surprise. They stated on yesterday's news coverage that he was an unexpected choice for leader of the Catholic Church due to his past leadership as a Cardinal and his ruling style to be that of an "enforcer." Pope Benedict XVI may be...

We were talking about this in the office today and how his years spent in the Hitler Youth (all be it enforced schoolboy years in the Hitler Youth according to his biography) could be seen as a tenuous link to the worrying factor of his tarnished views.
The way its been suggested he intends to block debate on all issues regarding Women Priests, Priestly Celebacy, Abortion and Homosexuality seem to suggest backwards steps into the dark ages rather than embracing the year 2005 and its new worldly ways.
But then religon's a funny thing aint it ? Causes people to fall out and start wars ! Never have understood why a Catholic God has to be bigger than a Protestan God ( or a whatever god) when they're all supposed to represent the same ideal ? Bloody daft init ?
Its kicking off allready, the Italian Press have nicknamed him "Gods Rottweiler", the German Press are slating the English press for being disrespectful of the new "German Pope" by highlighting the Hitler Youth past but worst of all,.. Pope Bennie the xvi writings have knocked the presales of the new Harry Potter book off the top of the German top sellers listings ! ! ! Now is that an act of God or What huh !

In the wake of most American company decisions to ship out thier labor to foreign countries, I was surprised to read about one corporation who has sided against that route: Mag Instrument Inc., makers of the famous "mag lite." In yesterday's edition of the Los Angeles Times Business Section, the front page article was mind-blowing, if not inspiring. Anthony Maglica is 75 years old and...

There pass the careless people
That call their souls their own:
Here by the road I loiter,
How idle and alone.

Ah, past the plunge of plummet,
In seas I cannot sound,
My heart and soul and senses,
World without end, are drowned.

His folly has not fellow
Beneath the blue of day
That gives to man or woman
His heart and soul away.

There flowers no balm to sain him
From east of earth to west
That's lost for everlasting
The heart out of his breast.

Here by the labouring highway
with empty hands I stroll:
Sea-deep, till doomsday morning,
Lie lost my heart and soul.

So, at the diner I work at we have CNN on 24/7....And today I saw something that truly disturbed me and seemd to illustrate my fears about where we are headed as a nation:
A man walked up to the capitol building dressed in black carrying 2 suitcases, which was seen as suspicious. The Swat Team promptly moved in, and while he stood there motionless,...

Inspiration for the following list of dead literary figures came from Charles Bukowskis poem "Beasts bounding through time," specifically the lines "sylvia [plath] with her head in the oven like a baked potato . . . Shakespeare a plagiarist . . . the impossibility of being human." Some may call it morbid, some may call it truth - either way I dont give a damn....
