I'm running one of the "Polling Stations" and have to be there at 6.30 am. I can't leave the building and go home until close of play at 10.00pm tomorrow night once all those eager voters...

Cheers for the comment mate. Have to agree, while there's a few Britpop bands who've grown on me since 1995, I thought Menswear were shite then and still do now. puke

The Piano is proving hard, but worthwhile work. Its a labour of love learning to play once more. Just a shame the fingers aint keeping up with the memories that are flooding back.

The Times They Are A Changin,.....

He received a letter this morning requesting his signature enabling "the Ex" to go ahead and change the surname of their son from his, to that of her newly intendeds.

He thought, and he thought and he thought before deciding for the first time in two and a half years to tell her to Fcuk Off and say no...

"the Ex" sounds like a bitch.

It seems to me that you handled the situation well.

It sounds to me like your a good dad, 'the Ex' probably realises as well which will make her even more bitchy.

Good for you for standing on your own two feet about this mate.

A boring night in a boring town.

This is what went down at the Diskotek on April fools day from myself and my cohort, the Lady Ciao Baby.
Not very adventurous I'm afraid, its just the way it went and what the kids wanted to hear tonight.

I think we both need to get out more ?

9.30 - Me, (the graveyard shift)

Faithless -...

Saturday night beneath the plastic palm tree's dancing to the sounds of the guns of Naverone.

So, the last couple of weeks have seen him building bridges, pricing Piano's, cementing new found friendships and fighting flak from femanists.

The latter is a long story involving a gig in Bolton at which his new friend was performing whom he drove there as her chapperone to find...

What a difference a week makes,

7 days, 168 hours,..... but he really cant be bothered to work out the minutes or the seconds.

Out of sheer bordom at the works pc system deciding to be fully uncooperative during the early part of last week and therefore rendering him temporarily useless, he decided to dig up his past on the world wide web.

It was...

sounds like you've had a fairly decent week.

sorry i didnt come and say hello last sat night, i spent all my time trying to locate my friends and avoid other people who i couldn't be bothered to talk/explain to.

i don't think im going to reach twice my current age, current bets are that i will expire at around 25

Smiling! Fucking excellent! good to hear man

I'd like to hear that CD sometime, what's it called? perhaps I can track a copy down

Everything in your journal sounds sweet! I'm happy for ya! And that whole paid-time offpersonal support thing, that sounds like a REALLY good plan. I've never heard of it before... I've heard of maternal leave, but not paid time off for someone else to help out too! (Is that something done only through your place of business, or is it like, part of the overall English Health care system or something?)

Rock on Scaliwag

He has so nothing new or exciting really to say. It's all been a case of 4 funerals and no wedding.

The only Aunt that i had gave way to the "C". I didn't know her awfuly well. I knew her hardly at all to be fair and thats down to a rather long story involving my waring Father and his brother.

I did have...

Heh, no I have works training for my new job first thing Weds morning and the last time I went to an away game at Hull back in the dark days of Division 3 I narrowly avoided getting my car bricked by the locals after we won 2-0... eeek

Yeah, the Fenton's a decent venue (the agency I co-run here in Leeds does its gigs there) - it's basically the upstairs room at a rock pub near the Uni - capacity's about 70 or so (though I went to see Deadline there last week and they packed 120-odd into it!). There's a website up here as well.

For Who ever,.........

As i lay on my pillow, of cool sea blue,
I close my eyes and dream of you.

The curve of your back,
the sweep of your thigh,
the fall of your breasts,
the warmth of your sigh.

I raise my head to greet your lips,
to feel that first enchanted kiss.
Such pure honey makes delight to fall, blesses my tongue,...

Anytime you want an opinion on gear, please let me know!!

Soft synths are The Way, by the way. Few hundred quid spent on a choice few of those, plus one or two keyboard controllers - and a computer of some sort - and you'll be all set to go. Make it a laptop computer, and you're instantly portable and ready to make more money!

I'm excited for you!! I wish I knew of some retailers over there. As for now, try perusing the Sweetwater site. Good luck!

Tonight he returns to the Disko-tek.

For various reasons he feels his full recall may be a little too early.

Angst, anxiety and trepidation fills his call and makes him feel a little edgy, but along with the management requesting his presence, various promoters have been working tirelessly on him over the last couple of days persuading him of the need to make others aware...

Yellow.

Y'know, I think I may have had yellow hair the last time I darkened the doors of your disco-tec.

Well, apart from the Hogmanay/snow episode of recent memory, but that doesn't count as I didn't drink any Tyzers.

You are lucky in your promos. I suffer under a lack of big names in the hopes that it leads to excellence through independance - although I'm savvy enough to know that'll never really work, I can always dream.

My highlights lately have been the Lucky Nine EP and the recent Even In Blackouts tour.

My past seems to be haunting me in musical form, with all my old mates forming new bands and suddenly being cool in ways I never have been. Good for them, I say, and carry on with the job of recommending their works to all and sundry.

In that spirit, check out the Lucky Nine and the Hudson Super Six. I'm sure Google can help you find them.

*kick* biggrin What do you play??

that new Beck is crazy. Full of what sounds like Atari and Intellivision samples. crazy shit!

hope things went well
