So I haven't done anything on the blog in a while. It's fine, nobody reads it anyway, so it's not like I'm pissing anybody off. I've been to two concerts since the last post, both of which were excellent. First one was Dream Theater, Opeth, Between the Buried and Me, and Three. All four of these bands kicked copious amounts of ass, especially Opeth, Dream Theater, and Three. Three is a no-name band, but they are definitely not deserving of this status, they were the best opener I've ever seen, and are worth checking out. BTBAM came on, played three or four songs which lasted a combined 45 minutes, and left. Opeth came on, played for an hour and a half, and made me all warm and happy inside. Then came Dream Theater. I hope I don't need to say anything about this band, if you've heard the name you know they're among the best.
The other concert was two bands, Sonic Syndicate and Nightwish. Sonic Syndicate was ok. They performed their songs and left the stage, and pretty shortly thereafter Nightwish came on. They performed nothing Older than Century Child, which wasn't cool, but everything they did play, they played well. They even brought out John Two-Hawks and played Creek Mary's Blood, which was unexpected. Nightwish is coming back in September, I will be attending then, hoping they play something old. Wishmaster, at least.
