Got a couple nights out in the desert this weekend with some of my favorite people. Don't have much more to say than that. It was chill, nothing too strenuous. Just good company, good conversation, and beautiful desert.

You know, I don't think you're ever prettier in pics than in these you take camping or hiking. Other superlatives maybe, but the happiness this brings out from deep within you all the way to every pore is just.... it's so pretty.

Looks ideal. Except the headlamps. They always ruin the vibe for me. Convenient, yes, but the whole idea of going into the wilderness isn't convenience. It took my GF two years of camping to internalize that blasting the camp lanterns does indeed ruin my night vision and my experience of nature. Just recently her response to the oil lantern I brought wasn't just to complain that it was too dim, but to send me a suggestion of a brighter one. Warmed my heart so much!
