Next surgery - June 30th 😅 this'll be much less invasive and mostly easier healing (my septum is deviated so badly my right nostril is almost fully blocked, but we were worried sinuses would have problems too and they're thankfully fine!). So taking advantage of already hitting my deductible for the year and getting it fixed. Still under a bunch of restrictiona for the hysterectomy and figured I'd rather just lump all the healing time together and hopefully be able to get back to more activity by the end of the year 😂🙏🏻

A friend of mine who was also the artist who did my blackout leg and master sword and korok tattoos passed away last week. Have his funeral tomorrow, and his shop did memorial tattoos for him today and donated proceeds to his family. His name was Owen and he was one of my first friends in Utah and one of the kindest, coolest humans around. He has always been super supportive and encouraging about my art. He also struggled with chronic health issues and gave me great advice and was a kind ear when I first started navigating severe GI pain and severe food reactions after covid. Just respected and appreciated him so much. We weren't extremely close so I know it's not as bad for me as others, but I have been thinking about him a lot this week and I'm just in awe of how many people in the community have shown up for him and had so many kind things to say and funny stories to tell. I feel incredibly sad at his loss, I also feel incredibly grateful to have known someone who touched soooo many people in such a positive way. Esp bc, frankly, there's so much toxic bullshit in the tattoo industry. And Owen was just not about that. Always wanted to teach and share and uplift other people.
