June 4rth is the big day. Last day at Saint Catholic hospital. NO more 12 hour shifts. NO more nights. I WILL have real weekends and a real life. It might take a bit to find the next career move but we are lucky that our but working has paid off and we are stable. I have time to find happiness. Yay.

I can't wait...

p.s. the geeks at the repair shop swore there was nothing wrong with the dvd player. Bastards. I think they fixed it and then lied just to make themselves smarter than me.

Hola! I'm just stopping in to send a little love to you and your hubby! I hope your 4th rocks. Ours is looking pretty pedestrian. Take care!

So the guest suite is empty and ready for guests. I think I am going to make it into a love get-away. I'ts hard to feel sexy time for long term relationship when there is laundry everywhere and a dog watching.

I get to see my mental health NP today, first meeting and I am very excited I ended up not having to work last...

i've heard of the yogurt method but i was so infector feeling i thought i'd opt for the big guns right off the bat. i've seen those cool pee dipsticks that tell you what ails the vag but i have yet to buy any. next time tho. i think that's a sweet ass invention.

UTIs suck a bunch of dicks. so do kidney infections. i got my first one the week of graduation etc and had to put off seeing a doctor because i just didn't have TIME. bad choice i know but it turned out ok.

your paint store story cracked me the fuck up. its funny how opinionated people can get about YOUR paint colors when you're standing in line.

your summer off sounds awesome. good luck with your new career hunt. i know the medical field is hurting for people but i've also heard of impossibly poorly-timed hiring freezes. frown

egads. baby time. san fran is fun even if you don't drink but at least you saved some money by staying home. COME TO NEW YORK!! you HAVE to stay here, its not insanely expensive and it looks really really cool. coincidentally, its around the corner from here, which is fun to go to. we will also show you all the most delicious restaurants! i love eating in this city. i also know some other cool things to do. like this! you'd love it.

f'reals. come to new york. biggrin

narehusu:
I need to come to NY. I WILL come to NY. I am taking at least another year off from baby making to get into mad shape pole dancing (demi more in striptease is my current inspro) and have time figuring out who I am post school and shitty ass jobs. When is the best time of the year to visit weather wise etc, any ideas? Jon can be a lovable pooper so I may or may not come by myself. We will see.

I have to go SOMEWHERE thoug and day hikes don't count (though they are fun and help with the kick ass shape goal).

I'll update whorehouse pics as it developes. P.s. etsy rules, search for mucha lamps and you can imagine how I am seriously thinking of dropping a grand on a damn lamp shade.

woooo.. miss ya! Glad you are happy and healthy.

I feel better today. This last week was acute excacerbation of my chronic pain and it sucked. After crying on the phone to 3 different on call proffesionals I finally went to the ER. God, I had forgotten what it was like to not be in pain. I have meds to cover me for a week though till I can set up apps with the...

A woman was at the beach with her children when her four-year-old son ran up to her, grabbed her hand, and led her to the shore, where a sea gull lay dead in the sand.

"Mommy, what happened to him?" the son asked.
"He died and went to heaven," the mother replied.
Her son thought a moment and then said, "And God threw him back...

We are getting closer to buying a house!!!!!!!!

I am such a dork about it and glad DH is more level headed. I have NO poker face and want to buy every house I see.

We found one though that had everything on both our "must have" list and "want" list

I am already looking for decorating ideas.

We are hoping to move by the...

So my uncle passed away Wednesday night.

What a sad couple weeks. He's been schizophrenic the last 25 years and his med symptoms masked the tumor growing on his pituitary until he passed out from ICP.

They tried to remove it, he got meningitis and after that it was just all over. They took him off the respirator and hours later he was dead.

I...

I'm very sorry.
It's never easy, but when families come together, it is a beautiful thing in an odd way.

Going without a father..... It doesn't get any harder.
I hope for beauty in their life.

Puppy love at last.

We now have Haydn as part of our family. He is 15 weeks today and so smart. Sigh.

Having fun this week getting new music.

Hazard by Richard Marx

Chris Isaak

and some 80's faves.

Am in the mood for haunting synth pop.

I missed my acupuncture appointment yesterday but made it to library orientation.

I love it already. We start out in the childrens section, part of which does not take much organization. The block books just need to be placed on the shelf anywhere, where they don't squish each other.

My next training is next Tuesday. As you learn a new section, you get a color...

Stickers!!! We used to get colored stars back in the day and they would go on a big chart which looking back was maybe not so good for the self-esteem of the kids that had trouble reading. Not that it's a big deal because it turns out you can become president of the US without proper grammer skills. puke

I think I saw part of that "seed money" program. I admit to tuning in to these shows once in a while just to see what line of crap they're peddling to the faithful that day. It does just amaze me how often blind faith seems to prevail over common sense in america even in the 21st century. Why does begeebus need money for new kidneys anyway, did he lose the blueprints for when he made the first ones and needs to do some R & D?
