been crazy busy with work and school. probably only going to get worse. my soc capstone is going okay, though my prof has a case of noble european syndrome which will probably get annoying. it's discussion based which is nice, but my brain doesn't like to work at 9:30 in the morning. i counted 100 plus unnecessary uses of the word 'like' the other day in under 15 minutes. annoying. going to see whitehouse in chicago in a month. should be loud. looks like i'm actually graduating this semester, though i have no idea in terms of plans afterwards. seems odd that my social life is finally falling into place the last year that i'm here. better late than never? maybe. frustrating? hell yeah.
have been spending way too much money lately. probably shouldn't have spent 80 some bucks on death in june and boyd rice, but i figure if i didn't someone else would buy them and i'd have to wait quite a while for the chance to get ahold of them again.
my independent study is going well. looking at the difference between counterculture and subculture from an anthropological perspective. sometimes though it just seems when i'm reading and taking notes that there's so many layers and ways to go about it that my brain just stops thinking and i have to move on to something else.
found out a little more about the after school kids program that i am going to be starting in a few weeks. i'm a little less scared of it. a little. now i'm trying to figure out some good crafty activities of kids in the 5th and 6th grade age range. unfortunately i can't remember what it's like to be that age so i have no idea what they might find cool.
went to a zombie party last night. people put on zombi make up and crashed some other party. sadly, this wasn't nearly as cool as it sounded, mostly because it was a long walk and very cold out, and i didn' really know most of the people, who were pretty drunk and just sort of rubbing me the wrong way.
