Living where you live, I could occupy myself, go make some new friends somewhere, keep busy to distract myself from lonliness (IF i wasn't trapped in a van 55-75 hours/week and just too damn tired to deal with people.).
But we live in a cultural wasteland... yet another reason to move. As for the clinginess, yes, it might be a little annoying, but it's not like I'm trying to invest too much in a girlfriend... we've been married 10 years, a bit of attachment is not beyond the pale, I feel.

Yeah, that's how it was for me. I pretty much gave up looking for anything long term and just decided to enjoy myself no matter where I was instead of looking for anyone that might have potential. Then I came across my girlfriend who I didn't think anything would happen with her because she lived on the other side of the country. Then five months after our meeting, we started chatting each other up and now she's moving in with me in a month. Really, it is true, it's the one thing you will least expect.
I need something exotic in my life. Person or place. Dont matter to me.
