The weekend was a busy few. I am glad that I got to do exactly what I planned on doing with no hiccups.

Friday started with a trip to OUE Skyapace in downtown L.A. It is at the top of the U.S. Bank Tower, which is the tallest building in town. It is a fun observation deck, but the best part is there...

Since I played sort of hooky from work today, why not put a bit of blog on here to remind me of what I have been up to.

After work on Thursday and Friday afternoon was movie time. Thursday night was a self date of dinner and a movie. I had one of my pizzas. Then I watched Operation Finale. It about how the Jewish...

@franie So much to respond to here. Your life, as I have said before, sounds pretty awesome. I used to go riding on ATVs with my stepsister and stepbrothers whose mother lives in Riverside in a spot where there is plenty of land to travel upon. It was awesome and I loved it. I love horseback riding, too, but hardly get the opportunity because I'm very shy about going out, even with friends, and stop myself from enjoying life when I shouldn't. I love the pic chosen to head your blog. You look super cool. Love the shades and the hardcore expression. Or maybe that's just you being pissed off at all the dust. Lol. You are a very intriguing individual. Creative blog, too.  I enjoyed the mix of photographs with ideas. =)

@aflalimo I try to keep active in order to keep from being a bit negative. It was really dusty, but I have the equivalent of resting bitch face. How do I intrigue? I would love to hear a female perspective.

Today will be a lazy Sunday, so it is tome to update about the last few days...

Thursday night after work I went to see The Happytime Murders. It was not good. It did keep me from doing some more expensive stuff though, so it isn't all bad.

Friday night I went to El Trafico, the local soccer derby between LAFC and the L...

This weekend has been spent largely at the movie theater. On my way over I cruised through the streets of L.A. I always think it is cool see lowriders around town

It was a four film Friday, with two more movies yesterday. The lobby had wardrobes from the film Crazy Rich Asians.

Am I the only person sort of intrigued my the Happy Time

My adventure today was a trip to Hollywood to screen Black Klansman coupled with a Q&A featuring director Spike Lee and members of the cast. The movie was really enjoyable, even it was a tough subject to deal with. I finally liked Adam Driver in a role. The story is wild, but relevant given everything going in the current times.

This sounds intriguing. And you made me laugh several times. Such a feat, right? Lol. Especially the jab at Glendale. Gotta agree with you on that one. I did a double take the first time I saw a sign that said Jon’s. I thought I needed glasses. Or sobriety. 😁
franie:
@aflalimo It was a good day to be out. I may have to start shopping at Jon's because it is too funny.

So earlier I was sitting out in my backyard and thinking a bit about the last weekend.

Friday night was a charity event for my mother's foundation. It was a comedy show with family friendly comedians. It wasn't terrible. It is always weird to do family stuff because I have to make sure to behave.

Saturday morning I had a long overdue talk

Beautiful view. I’m the black sheep of my family. Hard to believe? I know. Behaving takes uneven turns with not visiting. I’ll always be here to cheer the Mets on with you, friend. The struggle is def real and I feel you on it. 🙂

Yesterday I went to a Q&A with Scotty Bowers. He was procurer of sex for actors during the golden age of Hollywood. It was truly something to hear a 95 year old guy talk about having threesomes and "sucking cock" with old time stars. He wrote a book and had a documentary about his life. His is a life fully lived. I hope to be...

Last night was the summer show for Lucha Vavoom in LA. It was a last minute thing for me. The show was strange and magical like usual. Hopefully the weekend has something else fun in store.

You do some incredible stuff, @franie. Thanks for sharing.

@aflalimo I try to keep pretty busy in order to keep from being negative.😊

This was a long weekend for me, because I get every other Friday off. That meant loads of time to do some of my most common off duty activities. Thursday night after work I went to watch The Equalizer 2. It was a live action video game as I expected. I drove around for a bit after the movie, but I decided to go back...

I once sat behind home plate for an Angels game. I wasn’t rooting for them, however. The Red Sox were in town. Lol.

So today there was a confluence of things that made me decide work was not the place for me. I could feel myself getting negative and such, and I didn't want to subject my staff to it. I left at lunch to be by myself for awhile. I drove to get a sandwich at the speakeasy sandwich shop I go to from time to...

Last nights time out had me at a sort of cabaret show as part of the Blackhearts Burlesque the girls do.

It was a interesting show. Some parts I liked, and some I didn't. But it was good to experience overall. Having to admission fee that converted to online tips for the girls was a good idea.

*Crappy picture warning ahead*

Hopefully I make

Since I just got home from Hollywood and sleep is just a rumor I can update on here about the last couple of days.

I had a pretty tame 4th of July. I didn't have anywhere to be, so I stayed home. The day was filled with baseball on television, a nap, and watching fireworks from my backyard.

They don't joke about not
