The metronome of my life just ticked again with another week through and a week end of wonder and excitement ahead!
Tomorrow night I will be heading to Kalamazoo to see the SG peeps. I haven't bowled in AGES, so I know it will be fun. Yes, getting one's ass kicked IS fun so long as it's in good company.
Thursday night's little jaunt to Petco for cat food turned into a Best Buying dvd spree! Well, three, but that's a spree for me. I originally decided to go in for a cat6 cable to run between my modem and my router, but fool that I am, I HAD to see what was new in the music video section. To my surprise, they had a compilation of Spike Jonze's music videos. In dolby digital. With artist interviews AND booklet. For $10. I've just wated Bjork's "It's Oh, So Quiet" video three times in a row, and am about to put it on again. I love her. And I love Spike Jonze. And every single video. I guess I didn't remember that he did the Breeders' Cannonball. Talk about high school memories... holy shit.
I also finally picked up the Big Lebowski. We should all watch that before bowling tomorrow. Smoke a bowl, watch Lebowski, then bowl. That's a slice of heaven right there.
Then I, too, procured Masked and Anonymous.. the Bob Dylan movie with shitloads of cameos. Costarring John Goodman and Jeff Bridges. Sensing a theme here? Good.
