So, I'm in Virginia Beach, VA going through an accelerated paramedic course. This thing was created for Navy SEALS and is no joke! It's the equivalent of an Associates degree in applied science in just under 20 weeks. That's right, a degree in a semester. The classes run from 7am to 5pm and each one covers a week's worth of material. When we're not in class we are doing our clinical rotations at various hospitals and fire stations in the Hampton Roads area.
The real suck of it is that I'm six gazillion miles from home and I don't know anyone down here. I haven't even seen the beach after which the city is named. So sad. Anyone know any good bars or hang-out spots that a taxed paramedic student can have a good time?
