Crickets
I've decided that I would like to raise my own crickets to feed the newest member of my household - Dr. Turkleton, the leopard gecko. As you may or may not know, I live in a small-ish town - one that seems to have everything except a pet supply store that carries crickets. Constantly running into The City for live food is kind of a pain in the butt, so I'm going to take the plunge and do my bestest.
I've been reading up on care of the little guys, and in most cases it does not sound complicated or terribly expensive. I plan to use more of a novice's method and just keep them in a 10 gal. aquarium, with a heat source. There are elaborate set-ups that call for space such as an out-of-use deep freeze (of which I have neither freezer nor space), and chick-waterers, and so on. I'm hoping to keep the habitat as natural for the crickets as possible, in hopes that they will breed enough for Dr. Turkleton's diet. Does anyone have any tips tricks or suggestions for me out there?
Horny
I'm ridiculously horny. I don't know what's freaking wrong with me. How did I even go from crickets to horny... I don't even know. I'm actually using the internet for porn, which is out of character for me... well, a little. Anyway, just thought I'd throw that out there.
Inventory
Packing up for my big move, I decided to take my insurance broker's advice and catalogue all of the stuff in my Nerd Cabinet of Ultra Nerdiness. I didn't realize there was so much in there - I'm a super geek. Well, really, I'm sure my little collection pales in comparisson to a serious collecter (especially since only about 6 of my action figures are still in their boxes - I tend to take them out to play)... but still, I was impressed at the list. I'll have to go through and find the actual value of some of the "toys," but the estimation was a little baffling. Packed up three good-sized boxes that I got from Chapters last weekend; figured book boxes would be nice and sturdy for the precious cargo
Here are some totally random pictures that I took tonight.
