I'm not sure I can thank Pomfelo enough for reactivating my account I am so happy to be back!
Lately I feel like I'm at work more than I'm at home. I'm not a huge fan of that, but we are trying to save for a trip to Disneyland next year, and every little bit helps! The boss (a former Olympic rower) brought in a tv so we can watch all of the Olympics while we're working. To be honest, I don't normally watch the Olympics, but I'm really enjoying it.
We have ten animals in the house at the moment Heckler has a cat, I have a cat, our daughter has a cat, and my brother left his cat in our care when he moved out. We have our dog, Barkley, and our disabled foster dog, Seymour (who will stay with us for the rest of his life). We still have Luna and her three kittens Fred, George, and Ron. Fortunately, the kittens will go to Petsmart for adoption in ten days. We're scared to go into the bathroom, because the kittens have learned to climb pants I think we're going to take a break from fostering cats/kittens for a while after Luna and the babies go... Seymour is so much work, and adding extra cleaning on top of that is taking its toll on us. Coming home from a super long shift at work and having to scoop that many litter boxes and wash floors and THEN have to feed kids and ten pets... we're just burnt out.
We're looking forward to a 4 night camping trip in two weeks We're going camping on the Englishman River in Parksville with the kids, the dogs and my mom. We're camping at the same campground that my mom used to take me every summer, and where she camped since she was a kid. I learned to swim at the pool at that campground, and I spent many happy summers there It'll be great to take the kids there - I'm super excited. Here are some touristy photos of Parksville from the internets.
This is where we swim
When the tide goes out, you can walk for at least a kilometer out... it's amazing
Mini golf!
Heckler and our lil guy last summer
Visiting the goats on the roof in Coombs, just north of Parksville is a must
So yeah, should be fun
Here are some instagram photos... it's difficult to type that without feeling like a douche
And then this

That campground looks like a blast.
