Undead Weekend
So our local Zombie Walk was cancelled due to some flub with paperwork
(though I read on Facebook that there was a good turnout anyway - so I missed out
x2). Though I really hadn't put too much thought into my costume anyway..... I spent yesterday afternoon with a friend instead - we went to see 30 Days of Night, which was very cool. Though I haven't read the graphic novel, I do have the novelization of the movie, it stayed pretty true to that. There was some genuine suspense built up - not like in a certain undead flick I saw recently that had me jumping at spilled change *sigh*
Yesterday evening I rented a couple movies that I was super amped to see: 28 Weeks Later and Planet Terror. 28 Weeks didn't really hold a candle to it's predecessor, but it was still very watchable. As you may know, I have issues with super-fast, super-strong mega zombies, but whatever. Planet Terror was pretty good though. A little long for what it was, but nevertheless, a decent flick.
I drank strawberry dacquiris and ate spinnach dip with very soft bread... what a great night.

I havn't seen either of the Grindhouse movies but i know what to expect with the film effects and cheesiness of some of the characters.
But I loved 30 Days of Night! I"m so excited they at least through a few Alaska Natives in there(i'm half Eskimo) and i'm glad it wasn't all log cabins and shit. One of the best Vampire movies i've seen!
