Since my ear-wax was grossing people out, I thought I'd tell you about my weekend. Movies. It was all about the movies. Friday night after my shift at the theatre we had a staff show for Good Luck Chuck. On Saturday morning after the gym, I went to see Transformers in IMAX. That same evening, I went to see Resident Evil: Extinction with trocar.
My co-workers and I couldn't figure out why Good Luck Chuck was rated 18A... but we figured that out pretty quick. Huge. Sex. Montage. That's all I'm going to say. Wow. Okay, moving on. Jessica Alba's "acting" was barely tolerable, but she's not hard on the eyes, so I can forgive her. Dane Cook was really funny - he totally stole every scene he was in. I guess my only complaint with Cook's character was that he wasn't "Dane-Cook-y" enough... I mean, he was The Waffler, he's got waaaay more potential than this movie afforded him. Lonny Ross really made me laugh as Alba's character's brother - he's a delicious nerd.
Transformers was definately worth paying to see in IMAX. Say what you will about "too much human involvement" in the story - I went to see robots f* eachother up, and that's what I got. Watching Starscream take out those F2's... totally worth it. Part of the appeal of going to see TF is IMAX was the five minutes of extra footage; if one were to only go to see the extra snippets here and there, it probably wouldn't be worth one's two and a half hours.
And Resident Evil... I liked it. The first installment of the series would have been hard to top, but Extinction made a valliant effort. It was far better than the second one - any badass monster that wears a leather dress just isn't scary. Nice to see Oded Fehr again, though I don't know if I'll ever be able to see him as anything but a giggalo

Just watched Chuck. Awesome, I highly reccomend it. And did anyone catch the season premier of Family Guy last night? A one-hour Star Wars (A New Hope) tribute. The animation was brilliant. I'm also really looking forward to seeing Reaper.
